The other suggestion I would have for you is, try hitting with the PCI turned entirely invisible. It will help you focus on the ball. Once you have the pitch speeds down you can move back to using whichever PCI appearance you prefer.

It is connection because I get loads of people from DR South Korea Usa ect then you play someone from England and it's so much easier.

Im also in Europe, England to be precise. I just play RS until I get to mid 700s, then quit a few games until I’m back to 500 again. That way I know I can have a few games before I reach HoF and have to deal with that warping 200mph high sinker BS again. The game plays like [censored] at higher levels, timing windows are minuscule and all the PCI issues are exacerbated to an insane degree.
I have so many pictures and videos of the ball being entirely within the tiny PCI (it’s not much bigger than the ball itself with Gallo etc) with good timing, only to get okay swing feedback, because it was fractionally off center. It’s all well and good saying well you were off by 0.04mm, but when the ball takes 550 milliseconds to reach the plate from the pitchers hand and I have to basically put a marble sized PCI on a pea sized ball with good timing, should I be penalised for having good timing and putting the entire pci on the ball? SDS think so apparently. So I don’t play RS on HoF anymore, it’s far too annoying. I haven’t had a single perfect perfect on HoF in RS forever that I recall. Even squared up it’s good/okay with negative exit velos and 15-20 strikeouts for each team. Yeah, I’d rather not even play that game, lol.
I’ve been playing conquest and low levels RS, the outfielders still refuse to catch balls they’re camped under at times, my good release pitches still float over the plate sometimes too. But at least there are a few runs and a reasonable amount of strikeouts. It’s slightly more fun than the “let’s watch paint dry” 1-0 games at what used to be a reasonable level. Haven’t even attempted legend this year, I have zero desire to see Kluber spam high sinkers that I can’t touch for 9 innings ever again. -

This is great advice. When I am late on pitches I turn off the pci because it tends to distract me. After a while I will turn it back on but it definitely helps me to focus on the ball and react quicker.

Last year, you could definitely get away with playing on game mode on a TV, but a monitor was still better. I went from CS to WS last year when I made the switch. This year I could not imagine playing on a TV. On HOF on a monitor you have to sit dead red to hit fastballs and still you’ll be late sometimes. On a TV you must have to swing as the pitcher is releasing the ball to make up for the input delay.

I've always hated that they change speeds between HOF and AS and CPU, a 98mph fastball should be a 98mph fastball, always. Why can't they just make PCI's smaller and/or add more break to pitches, idk why they have to change pitch speeds all throughout the game.
They need to make online and offline the same I agree, I hate playing online with my god squad bc I can literally only warm up or practice with them on slow pitch softball conquest or risk my ranking on RS and it's annoying af

You can sit fastball on HOF and even with monitor and great internet you will still be too late on it. Timing really needs to be adjusted on HOF.

You will not be dissapointed. Its night and day difference. I couldnt hit 92 on a big screen without guessing. Monitor is the only way to play MLB imo.

I am actually pretty good at the game (I win around 75% of my games) but if someone is spamming high sinkers or fastballs and I sit on it then I should be able to punish it - as the game sits now one swing will be early and another too late as the ball warps from the pitchers hand to the glove. Timing is off on all difficulties but on HOF and up its really noticeable.

That's what I'm hearing. For the past several years I've played on a 50" with game mode on, and for the most part felt competitive. 19 was the first game to make me truly feel at a disadvantage and 20, 20 makes me feel like I'm a complete scrub even in AS.

I play on a tv and the way I try to combat the pitch speeds is from pitching rebels hitting video. Go to practice mode on legend and turn the fastball sliders all the way up so that when you play online it looks the same

Is it possible for a game to test the user’s input lag and then adjust the experience based on that?

What are the benchmark stats for great gaming monitor? Imagine refresh rate and what else? What RR is considered great? I'm gonna make the switch because FB are killing me online. Offline different story.
