-
First post is updated with NL Central
Johnny Bench
Orlando Cepeda
Ralph Kiner
Ryan Braun

Central also has no pitchers and is the grossest division so far in my opinion.
I would not say it is "gross" even though I was expecting a more notable Cardinals legend. These guys are all pretty iconic for their franchises though. Now maybe they may not be the best cards for competitive play but they are all pretty big names.
Interesting note: So far the two Team Affinity Cardinals legends spent a combined total of 6 seasons with the cardinals (3 each). The other chosen players?
Bench - 17 years a Red
Cepedo - 3 years as a Cardinal (although one was an MVP year)
Kiner - 8 years as a Pirate
Braun - 14 Years as a Brewer
Sandberg 15 years as a CubMeanwhile Stan Musial's best card is still an 89 overall. Holliday's Best Cardinal card is an 84. We don't have a single Mcgwire or Edmonds card yet. They have hidden Gibson and Brock in season collections and wasted Smith as a mid reward in a Jason Heyward mini season.

@Dolenz_PSN Yeah, those guys were all great players. I just won’t use any of them which is what I meant by gross. I’ll try someone in every other division so far.
-
Ryan Braun should be pretty decent. And that's all I have to say about that.
-
This whole TA lacks any excitement. There are maybe at most 4 players I'm even remotely interested in:
Big Papi (my favorite player of all time)
Bernie Williams maybe
Roy Oswalt maybe
Ryan Braun maybeAnd for once I join Cardinal fans in their misery. Orlando Cepeda? Really? When there's options like McGwire and Musial?
-
I am so pumped for a 99 Bernie Williams, but agree it is not overly exciting outside of a few selections. Makes me wish they would kind of flip the script and give us some juiced versions of guys who probably wouldn't otherwise get a stacked card instead of just recycling the same expected Legends.
This would be my mock AL East lineup:
Yankees: 99 Aaron Hicks
Red Sox: 99 Nathan Eovaldi
Orioles: 99 Jonathan Schoop
Blue Jays: 99 J.A. Happ
Rays: 99 Jiman Choi -
Sweeeet Ryno. Only card ill be interested this point in the games cycle. I actually can hit with his 92 card so look forward to his 99.
Lets just hope they make this grind super easy, im about over all the grinding i can do

I'll be honest, I'll take Season 2's Cepeda over Season 1's Ryan Ludwick.

@dbub_PSN How about Al Hrabosky? Would love to have the "Mad Hungarian" storming around the mound. Or have Mark "the Bird" Fidrych talking to the ball, lol.
Shoot, even as a Cardinals Fan I would not be overly excited about Hrabosky. The Cardinals have relief options in game with Helsley, Lee Smith and Bruce Sutter. We need another starting pitcher legend in addition to Gibson (Carpenter or Wainwright). We need a catcher legend beyond Joe Torre (Ted Simmons or Molina) and we definitely need Pujols back.

Throw in Oil Can Boyd too!

I know Ludwick isn't an exciting name, but his 99 was really good.
-
@nymets1987_PSN Santana is probably our only hope. Minnesota has a 90 hyper of him. I know most of his career was in Minnesota but he threw a no hitter in NY. Maybe a 95 for the Mets. Please!

It’s Seaver again lol

I wish there was a better design to these team affinity instead of putting 5 righties in the same division
-
@Skarmaen_MLBTS I’m sure they’ll all be usable good cards. They just won’t make my team.
-
I really thought that since they started revealing cards so early that we would have more of them by now.
They seem to at least try to space out their tweets and they have been mixing in Tournament posts among the reveals.
-
@Dolenz_PSN We have all except the NL West which we’ll probably get shortly.

That is just one group of cards. This thread was meant for all of them that are scheduled for tomorrow and that they usually teased early
There is also a new Topps Now/Season Awards Cards plus a Lightning
There is a new ranked season with Rewards
There is a new Event with Rewards.
And as always probably a few packs. -
@Dolenz_PSN Well, I’d imagine we’ll get most if not all by the time it goes live.

Honestly as I said earlier they seem to have avoided tweets for cards in packs lately

I’m not very impressed. I feel like they really need an influx of new legends. Just repeating same names even when they have rights to players that would fit better.
Kiner for Pirates is crappy because there was already a decent Season 2 Kiner. How about Clemente or Parker. Or a new legend pitcher like Doug Drabek or center fielder Andy Van Slyke.
Team affinity seems really light on pitchers this time around in Chapter 3.
Here hoping if they give 99 to players who need them this season. Hope to see Randy Johnson Arizona, Rich Aurelia SF, Fernando LA and Tony Gwynn for Padres. Just my suggestions.
