Why wont MLB the show ever allow us to do online franchises with a fantasy draft to where we can draft our teams?

They did. It was called MLB The Show 2017.

No one played it. So they dropped it.

@SaveFarris That seems crazy to me. I know personally in any sports game my friends and I always loved drafting teams and playing each other. Dont see why thats so much for them to add if your already going to have online leagues as an option.

It’s a lie, there were a ton of people playing it. I never had a problem finding a league with all teams having a player

It's not a lie. They used to give stats about how many games were played in each mode and online franchise was always in last place, and usually not by a small margin.

So yes, while people played it, they were a small minority. SDS cut it, if you believe them, when they upgraded their network infrastructure. They said that they did not have time to get it working with the new setup. Those of us who were realists knew it was probably the last we would see of it.

It's called the execs loved the numbers from DD in 17 and pushed for that, they abandoned it and double the size of DD,that was so successful that mlb required expanding to the competitors consoles when the license need to be renewed.
doesn't matter how many played it,
they knew where the money was.not a surprise really, stores take out liked products all the time in favor of better sellers.

If they weren’t sellers, then they couldn’t have been liked all that much.

Sorry if online franchise was your jam, but facts are facts.

    Never played it.
as for my analogy I was referring to stuff that does sell well but gets replaced anyway.im sure you've gone into a store and heard " oh we don't carry that anymore, it sells great and ppl love it but ......"

    It happened once.

Coca-Cola decided to change up the formula one day and call it New Coke.
The company lost hundreds of millions of dollars. Everyone involved in the decision was eventually fired.

    Online Franchise isn't Coca-Cola.

@SaveFarris_PSN not true at all. They dropped it because DD became the cash cow. So, they removed to focus on taking money from chumps LOL.

So you admit that DD was WAAAAYY more popular than Online Franchise, which didn't have enough users to justify it's existence.

Glad to have you on the team.
