*Trade Deadline Cards?*

Do you think this would be a cool concept for a new card series?
Especially with more of an emphasis on Captains and theme teams, it could be something to consider since they can feature the current deadline as well as flashback players who were dealt in years past.
Just an idea since we are always looking for new ways to incorporate fresh content.

The more I think about it, maybe the best route would be to make these cards Captains (95 overall) which makes sense since you are trying to build your team around the new acquisition for the home stretch.
A monster boost to LS players from that specific team would definitely keep the value of those cards high while offering more lineup diversity in competitive modes.

They tried it (kinda) in 2016. It wasn't that great (though DD was a much different thing back then.)

I wasn't aware as I only started playing in 2020, but looking back at older videos, DD has evolved greatly since then as you said.
They also currently have a good amount of names at their disposal that were impactful deadline moves over the last few decades.
