What to expect in season 2?

First year player here.
So I understand I’ll only be able to keep four cards in 24 days, but what happens to the rest of my collection?
Also, do I want to save stubs for the start of season 2? Will it be a complete restart (with 4 carryover cards)? -
Most people will just stop playing because the grind is relatively pointless and you'll feel like a hamster mindlessly grinding in a wheel.
Personally, I'll play some events here and there and just rent eligible event players from the Marketplace.

Yes, you're essentially going to be starting from Scratch with Core Cards being your only cards available to use. You'll have 1 wildcard slot to begin with unlocking 3 additional as you gain XP. If you're needing to spend stubs to hit a collection milestone to maybe collect a card to use in your Wild Card, go for it, but yeah...don't go blowing your wad cause you won't be using any of those cards you just purchased...at least not until Season 4.

Game will die. Happened in season 2 last year, ans this year is way worse.

First and foremost, you won't lose your cards. They'll still be in your binder. You just won't be able to use them for anything that requires S2 eligible cards (which will be Core and S2). You will get Wild Card slots where you can use any card, but we have no idea how that will work, exactly.
So in the beginning, you'll be back to using Core cards and the new S2 Cornerstone Captain until you can build up a group of S2 cards to use.

My expectations for season 2, ready?
SDS: Ok guys, what do you want to see?
Consumers: Revert XP payouts to last year's amounts, more usable cards earlier in the reward path, more usable rewards in general and less icons. Maybe up stub payouts a bit and make them more frequent. In the stadium creator, distances on walls, custom foul territory, bullpens in the outfield.
SDS: Ok, we heard you! Here's what you asked for! Enjoy these non guaranteed loot box packs for 40k! AND then these UFO props!
Consumer: wait, what? That's not even remot-
SDS: That's right, you asked we listened!
Consumer: No you di-
SDS: Buy more packs!

People will post on this forum that the game is dead, while logging hundreds of hours in game. Giving SDS user engagement that dictates otherwise.

@BJDUBBYAH We'll get called Simps, because while others can voice their negative feedback, if we offer rationale feedback were simps, and we shoulf hate the game even tho we enjoy baseball.

@SalmanHOF probably only keep 1 card at 1st. It's up to 4 wild cards. This game sucks and they ruined it last year. Best bet, sit tight, and see what happens when the seasons flip. No reason to grind or play now as all season 2 cards are useless and SDS will just release another lazy card for the same player.

They will gain in value, so maybe you should/could think ahead and get some better Core cards. I do not think, that there will be lots of packs besides TA2-1 starting S2 and an additional program. Remember: It is a power creep, nobody will have an all-99-team from the get-go

I’m hanging on to a bunch of gold and diamond S1 dupes, to see what happens on the market. If they don’t go up in value, they’ll have the same quick sell any way.
But that’s just me.
