I will literally never see babe Ruth, Jimmy Rollins, or Larry Walker in my entire time playing the show 24. It's just not happening. I'm not going out of my way to grind. I'll play the game modes I enjoy and get what I get. It doesn't make me happy to be that way about it but SDS doesn't cater to me or the modes I play. So I gotta deal with that.
I enjoy casual PVP cause you can actually practice, set the difficulties you prefer, and not stress over losing anything BUUUUUTTTTT SDS doesn't give AF about that game mode. They don't want you to play it or gain anything from it. So my grind is super slow and I don't care to get any cards that are tied to one season. Cause I won't get to use them long if at all I'm ranked.

@The_Bane_Event
Good post, thanks.I am at 250 hours … I finished Live series a while ago and also all programs/TA1/TA2 ….I am at around 240 cards and roundabout 800k stubs (but I refuse to buy overprized cards that do not make my team better). I slowly build that up … XP-wise I am at 996K.
In comparison to 23 I play mostly online and naturally fill out TA and programs with that, having lots of fun doing that.
I do some flipping while travelling to work. Worth mentioning: I cannot put lots of efforts in double-xp-weekens. I would have spun the wheel already if I could. And: I do not play any other games -
@YOSHI24 Thank you too. And I know I said casual, but I misspoke I guess. I do play a lot and grind more than the average player. It’s funny how I tried to make a positive post encouraging others to just enjoy what they can and how they can and some folks find a way to turn it negative.

@Orcin52 I have about 200+ hours in. I’ll make sure to complete all of the programs and I do not flip cards. I did get lucky this year and pulled Trout And some weaker diamonds, but nothing special. I will say that I also in my free time will grind out RTTS Until I get the diamond equipment and sell all of it as well as the perks. This has made me a ton of stubs that I use. I play those games on beginner and just smash home runs. It may be a slog, but it’s allowed me to essentially buy what cards I want. I try not to spend more than 10 K for a card.
Unless 200+ hours means 500 hours, I have no idea how you complete all of the programs AND grind RTTS in just another hour per day. I also don't understand how the same amount of program progression and stubs (your Trout = my $100) gets you 324 S1 cards and only half of that for myself. I am not saying that it isn't true.
Trout was going for 250ish K the first couple weeks,so if he pulled him early....

... it gives him another high live diamond or two.

...have spun the wheel 3 or 4 times...
Get anything good? I've had 3 spins so far myself- first 2 were vault packs so not bad for the collection, 3rd on was a Headliner pack and ofc it was only a silver card in it lol. I really want that 90+ Live series one!!!
-
@xxfrystealerxx 4 times. Got the stubs twice and the headliner pack twice. No diamonds.

I think we can all agree we're all over the place in terms of skill, time, and engagement. Not necessarily a bad thing. But for SDS it is as the diehard pool of customers shrinks into a more casual (how ever we define it) customer base, there is less being spent and more incentive for them to put packs in shops and make cards harder to attain. It's the only way to recoup losses. To make the game better would mean to hire more people or pay more in royalties which creates a vicious circle of no money in/no money to invest. So here we are with the best game we'll get regardless of our complaints.

Well, that certainly wasn't my intention. But I am trying to highlight that the structure of DD is ridiculous if you try to keep up with it. If you are killing it and enjoying it, like you, then cool. I just think it's an anti-human design by SDS.

My intention also wasn't to be negative. I don't want to take away from the fun that you personally have had playing the game. I just think that complaining about the content structure is valid and much different from baseless negativity/trolling.
Also, the enjoyment I find in this game is grinding offline for cards and then bringing that team online to compete. I think the fact that you are at a point that I would be content with and it took way more grinding than most prior years would have kind of proves the point of most of the complaints I have seen. Again, I apologize if you took my comment as being a troll or being toxic, my intention was not to be rude to you.

Didn’t mean anyone one of you all in particular. Apologies. I mean as a whole, I’ve read a ton of positive posts from folks or just general questions and it’s a shame others drag them for liking a game we all play and pay for. If it’s so bad for those that always gripe, just stop playing and wasting time on these threads. SDS I’m sure does their best and can’t make everyone happy but doesn’t intentionally try to hurt the players. The fact they even try to make adjustments says a lot considering most gaming companies and others generally don’t care and will do anything necessary to make a buck, including never asking for feedback or charging crazy prices for the same product. Yeah micro transactions are here to stay but with all the NMS folks and skills still mattering to an extent, at least it isn’t pay to win. Let’s all be thankful we have time to play a sport we love even in video game form and feel like kids again. Us guys never grow up, we just get older so let’s enjoy it while we can. Peace!
