I’m a casual NMS offline player and finished the LS a while back. If you grind out TA3 on mini seasons using the 1 & 2 bosses, you can finish 3 fairly quickly. I commit as much into one division as possible and use vouchers on the one I want to do last. Racking up packs and selling dupes gives me a ton of stubs for the Season 1 collection fodder and cards I don’t grind for on events and BR. I’m at 324 Season 1 cards rights now and have spun the wheel 3 or 4 times. I’m not an SDS fanboy and have just as many complaints as the next person but have enjoyed the game so far and feel like some positivity is needed. Don't be discouraged by the trolls and haters. Enjoy the game and you do you since you’re the one who spent the money on the game.

But, since I like playing devil's advocate, I'll argue that anyone who has 324 S1 cards, has finished the live series, and has spun the wheel 3-4 times is NOT a "casual" NMS player...lol...

@Loyal-Wiglaf True. My wife is a flight attendant and usually has trips on the weekends. I typically have all the time that I want to play and grind, so yeah, I’ve put in a lot in the game. I’m just casual in the sense that I don’t get into the sweaty online matches because I’m not good and I get frustrated quickly. I play the conquest and mini season games on rookie if that says anything about my ability on the sticks.

I am a casual offline player who bought the deluxe edition and spent an additional $100 on stubs. I still need 5 30K+ diamonds to complete the live series, have less than 150 S1 cards, and somewhere around 650K in the XP program. I have completed TA parts 1 and 2, and all of the other programs except the egg hunt and awards drop 7.
I think it is clear that the difference between me and the OP is time. I started on early access weekend and I have played 161 hours (roughly 2.5 hours per day). I am curious as to the OP's total. I don't flip cards, so I am also curious as to whether the OP flips cards to get stubs.
If the OP plays about the same amount of time and doesn't play the market for stubs, then it is clear that I suck at the game. That's ok too, I am really just curious as to how I am so far behind the other "casual" players.

I am you, almost to a tee. But I stopped played a few weeks ago, dipping in for a game here or there but that's it. And that's about where I am? I was playing a LOT for the first few weeks, but SDS has disgusted me this year. So I've been doing Madden franchise and Halo Infinite campaign...

@Orcin52 I have about 200+ hours in. I’ll make sure to complete all of the programs and I do not flip cards. I did get lucky this year and pulled Trout And some weaker diamonds, but nothing special. I will say that I also in my free time will grind out RTTS Until I get the diamond equipment and sell all of it as well as the perks. This has made me a ton of stubs that I use. I play those games on beginner and just smash home runs. It may be a slog, but it’s allowed me to essentially buy what cards I want. I try not to spend more than 10 K for a card.

@The_Bane_Event it’s your time and your money. You spend both how you want. I got to 280 S1 cards yesterday to add Willie Mays to my Giants build, so the TA grind this weekend was way worth it.

Even with "double XP" (I use that term EXTREMELY loosely, since it's just last year's regular XP...and that's IF you even get the double) I only managed to climb to 287k. I MIGHT hit the Mike Napoli card if I'm lucky but he end of S1

Congratulations on having an actual life outside of Diamond Dynasty. I mean no disrespect to those who make this their full-time job, or second full-time job -- like the guy said, it's your time and your money -- but everyone can see that Seasons is just a timer whispering to you, "Better get to work -- season's wrapping up!"
That, plus the pack cards, nerfing xp, gatekeeping stubs...[censored] gross.

It's easy to say this when you have all the cards you want. You say that you are one card from your 3rd S1 collection pack and have gotten all the XP bosses with 3 and a half weeks left in the season. Looking at your (public) The Show profile you have 7.5 days of in game time so far. That isn't really "casual NMS offline player" that is probably top 5% of total playtime. You are a heavy grinder and there's nothing wrong with that, but that's why you're happy with the content, because you have put in a huge time commitment to getting it all done.
I have 4 days, which I think is a lot, and am still 40 cards from my first collection pack and 150k xp from my first XP boss.I would be happy with the game as well if I had over 3 weeks to enjoy the cards I have been grinding for since the game dropped. I don't, and on Friday I was told I have to grind for another probably 24 hours of in game time to complete TA which would still have me short of the first collection pack. I'm tired of grinding and at this point with the time I have put in I should be able to just hop on and play a ranked game or two a night with the team I have built, but if I want Rollins, Mays, Sabathia, I have to commit even more of my time to the slog of a grind that is TA3.

Unless 200+ hours means 500 hours, I have no idea how you complete all of the programs AND grind RTTS in just another hour per day. I also don't understand how the same amount of program progression and stubs (your Trout = my $100) gets you 324 S1 cards and only half of that for myself. I am not saying that it isn't true. I am just saying that my method yields far inferior results.
I dare say there are far more people in my class than yours, so I am not sure of your point, i.e. it is not obvious to me. Are you saying the game is generous with its rewards and all of the complaining is unjustified? Or are saying the game is enjoyable no matter how much in-game wealth and progress has been accumulated? If it is the latter, I tend to agree because I do have fun playing the game. However, I feel strongly that I would have more fun if I could progress/earn faster with the same time/money spent, and if I could do those things playing the mode and cards that I enjoy instead of the mode/cards that SDS forces me to use.

So, I think the OP is probably a good guy, and his message is to tune out the "trolls and haters." But it's pretty clear that he's enjoying the game the way lots of people enjoy crystal meth, if you know what I mean.
Let's face it: DD has been designed for "maximum engagement." There's always going to be a new high, and it's never going to get you the same high as the old high.
The OP is the player that SDS is targeting, and because of that there's clearly a conversation to be had about game design and social responsibility. The Season format leans into FOMO and addiction-algorithms. It's gross.

I will literally never see babe Ruth, Jimmy Rollins, or Larry Walker in my entire time playing the show 24. It's just not happening. I'm not going out of my way to grind. I'll play the game modes I enjoy and get what I get. It doesn't make me happy to be that way about it but SDS doesn't cater to me or the modes I play. So I gotta deal with that.
I enjoy casual PVP cause you can actually practice, set the difficulties you prefer, and not stress over losing anything BUUUUUTTTTT SDS doesn't give AF about that game mode. They don't want you to play it or gain anything from it. So my grind is super slow and I don't care to get any cards that are tied to one season. Cause I won't get to use them long if at all I'm ranked.

Good post, thanks.I am at 250 hours … I finished Live series a while ago and also all programs/TA1/TA2 ….I am at around 240 cards and roundabout 800k stubs (but I refuse to buy overprized cards that do not make my team better). I slowly build that up … XP-wise I am at 996K.
In comparison to 23 I play mostly online and naturally fill out TA and programs with that, having lots of fun doing that.
I do some flipping while travelling to work. Worth mentioning: I cannot put lots of efforts in double-xp-weekens. I would have spun the wheel already if I could. And: I do not play any other games -
@YOSHI24 Thank you too. And I know I said casual, but I misspoke I guess. I do play a lot and grind more than the average player. It’s funny how I tried to make a positive post encouraging others to just enjoy what they can and how they can and some folks find a way to turn it negative.

Get anything good? I've had 3 spins so far myself- first 2 were vault packs so not bad for the collection, 3rd on was a Headliner pack and ofc it was only a silver card in it lol. I really want that 90+ Live series one!!!

I think we can all agree we're all over the place in terms of skill, time, and engagement. Not necessarily a bad thing. But for SDS it is as the diehard pool of customers shrinks into a more casual (how ever we define it) customer base, there is less being spent and more incentive for them to put packs in shops and make cards harder to attain. It's the only way to recoup losses. To make the game better would mean to hire more people or pay more in royalties which creates a vicious circle of no money in/no money to invest. So here we are with the best game we'll get regardless of our complaints.
