Now that I have spent some time, I can give my feedback on this iteration. Sadly it's mostly negative.

    on the positive side:
-The vault pack change, while should have been that way on day 1, does make them a lot more exciting to get
-99 CC was a nice addition o the collection that was unexpected.
-The changes to the TA conquest make it possibly worth doing now
-I know I'm in the minority here, but I like the missions for TA players. As a plus, they are the same so I don't have to remember if this guy is HRs vs hits
-edit: adding Mothers day conquest here. 10k stubs and the egg hunt pack was a reasonably rewarding conquest

I wish that list was longer.

    Negatives:

First and foremost: While I am not as down on the TA xp quite as much as most, the cards should have been front loaded in these tracks so people have more time to use them. I like the concept of this being a slower grind that is meant to be more passive, but that doesn't mesh well with this year's format. I t would have worked better with last year's.

Second, while the conquest map is better, it is still by an enormous margin inferior to the old model of 3 medium sized conquest maps meant to be done once each.

Third, the Battle Royale and Ranked goals penalise low skilled players significantly, and the former in particular already has an issue with being unfriendly in ways it wasn't last year. 4.5k xp and 40 hits are just absurdly high. The people that can get these dont need them, the track is already super fast for them. Further, the cumulative xp tracks were pushed back. This is a nonsensical move. And for ranked, the runs mission should have been left lower. It just feels like the increase here was randomly high.

    Some other things:
-Why is there no pipeline 1 or classics 2 in then TA choice pack? Perhaps the latter is still coming but the former should have been there. As should fresh start and Easter. Seasons ending, let us get the lesser cards if we want
-The hits needed for TA offline mode missions are way out of balance with the xp rewarded.
-There really should be a new Mini Season with each TA drop, especially with the conquest being decimated.

Overall an extremely disappointing drop. I'm personally not bothered by the exchange changes, I would never waste stubs on that, and I don't think it's quite as bad as the reaction has been, but it's worse than the 2nd which was significantly worse than the first. Not a good trend.

And the sad thing is other than the exchange thing, this doesn't seem to be related to Sony greed, this is purely bad decision making by SDS

When it comes to the Vault Pack, I am guessing that most people won't even reach it. It's at 180K so with the reduced TA XP being rewarded it will be very hard for the average player to get there. When you do get there you already have at least four 99 players so one more sub 99 player is less attractive. They are only doing it because the values of those cards will most likely start tanking as we get closer to the end of the first season.

They keep making changes that will slow down how quickly players can earn these 99s. But in slowing down those who grind these programs out too quickly they basically make it impossible for the average player to get them completed at all.

It happened with the XP path and now with TA3.

It's the lying that kills me. A big point of emphasis of the content stream pre-launch was "making TA less of a grind" and to be fair TA1 and TA2 were considerably better than last year's TA programs. But that all went out the window with these changes to TA3.

They apparently made these changes because the "community requested this" according to one of the people on stream Friday (I forget which of them said it). I can't speak to the online missions since I've never looked at those, but there's no way anyone who primarily plays offline asked for anything like this. Doubling (at least) the grind for cards that I can't use in a month? How does that make sense to anyone?

I suspect Mini seasons is at least as fast as S2, maybe faster.
If you stack a division you can do the 2500 s1, 1500 s1 bosses, 2 saves, 15 hits all at once. You should get all of those every 5 games or so for 20k. Let's say you take 25 games for the entire mini season, that's 100k. Plus you'll have ~15 vouchers for 45k. Now stack on the 40k for doing the first 4 s3 boss and you are almost there.

So it's nowhere near as bad as people are making it. Vs CPU nerf, sure. Which is fine. Conquest should be similar to TA though, easier pitchers but tougher ballparks than TA. Conquest should not be lesser than TA.

I think people that grinded vs CPU are not at all the average player. Neither are the people that did exchanges. Those are the people most hurt by this.

Again, I still feel they dropped the ball big time with this update. Part 3 should be the fastest to get the cards, not the slowest. I think most agree on that.

I'm at 100% for the AL and NL east and 38% in every other division ..mini seasons gives you around 18 -20 TA Vouchers..10 is 30k TA its absolutely possible ..yes a little hard and more tedious but I already have 14 99s and if you wanna count weekly drop I'm at 15 99s and barely played today ...

This. I am a casual offline grinder who loves vs CPU for the HR Derby effect and that I can keep up with the game and still have a full time life. Now I feel like I'm being kicked to the curb and either play online or mini seasons and be quiet. I'm not great online and have a crappy experience and mini seasons is just dumb to me in its current format.

I guess to sum it up me completing TA quickly through vs CPU isn't going to ruin anything for SDS or give me any unfair advantage. A K with an 89 or a K with a 99 is still a K.

Agree with most points... However, I am having fun grinding TA CH 3 and looking forward to using some of the cards (especially Eric Davis). This drop seems like it is taking me longer than the other 2, but I should be done in a couple of weeks. I just finished the AL East today and about 40% done with the other five.

The thing is, I don't know if I have it in me to do Season 2.... Then 3.... Etc the same way... And by the time I get these 99's I will have just a few weeks to use them before going back to 89's or 93's or so for Season 2.

This power creep does not work well with Seasons so I really hope they go back to Innings next year.
