Here's a list of legends I would love to see be part of this game. Trying to account for newly retired players i.e. Albert Pujols. It's not a perfect list but gives versatility to teams. There should be a couple position players and pitchers. Bottom player is the "big dog". Add who else you would love to see.

For the Cardinals I would say
Willie McGee - Actually the NL MVP in 1985
Ted Simmons - Hall of Fame switch hitting catcherAs long as Sutter and Lee Smith are in the game I would say don't bother with Motte. He was only a closer for one year, although he did lead the league in saves that year.
-
Other than the order you have them in for each team, this is a pretty good list.
-
@bostondirtdog21 i didn't specify well but the last one was my probably not happening most wanted player.
-
I want to recreate the Cardinals teams from the 80's. And I'm a Cubs fan.
Dan Quiz -- he'd go for like 500K.
Jose Caribbean Cruz! -- The OG little guy Astro.
I'll just add: they have the rights to Topps, right? SO MANY AMAZING STICKER BOOKS from the early-mid 80's to lend ideas about UI/binders. The setup in DD is so fricking low-effort stale.
-
@Loyal-Wiglaf I agree. There has to be something to bring a little more life. It's not good when you have players like Dontrelle Willis and now Adam Jones having to beg to be back in the game.
-
They have announced four of the six division reveals for TA3 and so far there are no debuting faces which means it looks like the new legend will be coming from either the NL West or AL Central.
Of course, big names like A-Rod/Bonds/Lincecum are theoretically possible, but I am trying to be a little more realistic with these predictions. I'll pick one brand-new player per team across these two divisions.
Cleveland - Manny Ramirez
Detroit - Cecil Fielder
Chicago - AJ Pierzynski
Kansas City - David Cone
Minnesota - Chuck KnoblauchLos Angeles - Kevin Brown
San Francisco - Jason Schmidt
Colorado - Andres Galarraga
Arizona - Dan Haren
San Diego - Ken Caminiti -

Have they stated that the new legend would actually be part of TA?
My first thought, is that if it is a big enough name to put on the schedule that they may hide it in a Headliner or Chase pack.

Minnesota - Chuck Knoblauch
Arm Accuracy - 0
Edit - I guess that would be his Yankees card.

They did not, but I am just kind of assuming it will be for the TA reveal as they have dropped some shiney new names in that program before such as Jim Thome in 2020.
With all of the criticism they have been getting this year, I can't even imagine the firestorm that would happen if they dropped a huge name and immediately put that card behind a 40k pack or Chase.

Yeah, if Chuck was ever put into the game and somehow got a card with the Yanks it would be a silver at best and even that would be kind of generous.
-
I would give anything for a Dustin Pedroia card but sadly the vast majority of these will never happen
-
@UnsaferRainbows that's why I'm trying to help out. They must have forgot about all these legends.
-
@Dolenz I assumed that Event Reward you shared that they're announcing on the Stream would be the "New" Legend.
