At this point MLB 24 is the worst show ever released

@Weshill627 the 5th inning is most likely the start of the 3rd time through the batting order. Your opponent, may have caught on to your patterns by then and yes, can all of the sudden start hitting.
-
@BJDUBBYAH Oh yeah true, the 3 late homeruns the dude hit were bc of my pitching patterns lol. I guess when they put in stupid stadiums like Laughing moutain that horrible swings get rewarded then sure. I legit regret so much my twitch channel is based around mlb. I've tried other games but no one watches. so i have to play. I knew this game was going to be bad the first weekend it came out.
-
@Weshill627 hitting in max elevation works the same for both players. Not just your opponent.
-
@BJDUBBYAH Just my point. Poor game design
-
Even though I loved how easy it was to make Stubs off of Souvenirs on 18, slow fastballs combined with contact hitters being virtually useless makes 18 the worst by far IMO.
-
@Weshill627 what’s your Twitch handle. I’ll give you a follow.
-
@nflman2033 I'm sorry NFLman, I would be rather playing 18. I'm not just saying that. There was always something do. Tonight, we get storylines and a boring cpu grind, then thats it. lol
-
@BJDUBBYAH Thanks bro! Wes_Hill1. Ill be live this afternoon for the storylines.

Agreed. Worst by far. 2018 was bad, but atleast there was always somthing to do. This year not only is there nothing to do, online play feels very random and bad. I can't stand the swing at everything, foul ball meta.
-
@go4stros25 ZERO effort put in by the devs. I wish they would respond and say yes, we are coasting through 24 to get to 25 when its only on ps5 series x. Id at least appreciate that
-
You’re still here though…. Yawn!!
-
@CDNMoneyMaker93 Having seen your posts over the years, this statement is WILD. But it's also pretty accurate.
-
@major_woody_ thanks!!

Pack after pack after pack after pack after pack after pack after pack is now “content”
What a joke

@doobiebross66-72 I just lost a gmae, i had 2 perfect outs, 4 good squared outs, and my opponent had 31 fouls to my 11 lol. it was the 8th inning when i quit. Its a horrible game.

I know how you feel. The foul offs create an awful experience even on HOF
Let’s call them what they really are: do overs. They’re do overs for free swingers who lack plate discipline and it’s pathetic. It only makes the game frustrating, not better
I’ve been bailed by awful foul offs and I’ve literally said out loud “wow how did I not strike out? That really needs to be a swing and a miss”
And I agree, weak contact is yet again rewarded way too often. I understand bloopers happen in nearly every MLB game irl but in this game? It’s way too often an occurrence. Couple that with swings where the ball literally is covering the center dot in the swing feedback, for an out time and time again? It’s just tough to play H2H and not get frustrated because the gameplay isn’t good at the moment
And will they fix that? Nope. But will they fix any way to possibly efficiently earn stubs? Of course
They don’t care about a quality game anymore, they only care about our pockets

It’s certainly not the worst gameplay wise but the doubling down on Seasons is what makes it the absolute worst experience in the franchise’s history. As I’ve said on here before - I used to play the show year round. Last year I bailed when season 3 dropped, This year I’ll finish out season 1 and then I’ll be bailing when NCAA football drops. I’m not going to keep chasing a carrot especially when I can only use the carrot for a week or two before it’s taken away again lol…I’d be fine with them going back to grinding for immortals or even the way it was from 18-22. It really sucks because this used to be the only game I would play year round.

Well said. Right off the bat the XP slashes rubbed me the wrong way, then come to find 70% of the season bath rewards are just next to useless(banners, minimal stubs) AND they buried the good rewards so far down the path the average player can't reach them. I think that unless S2 reverts back to the '23 and prior game XP set up, I'm likely shelving the game for the most part...not wasting my time chasing the carrot, as you so eloquently put it, when it's basically been all stick(to extend the metaphor)

They have gone full on digital casino mode but they’ve done it terribly. At least in EA games if you spend real money you’re spending real money for “points” and then you spend those points on packs that give you cards you can sell for the main in game currency. You can pull the minimum but you’re still coming out with more in game currency than you had before you spent money.
In this game you can just buy in game currency directly, and that’s the only way to buy packs, which give you terrible odds of getting anything good. Buy 150k stubs for 100 dollars, and you’re left with like 25-30k after you buy 3 choice packs and a monthly awards pack and pull the minimum. There’s literally 0 incentive to buy these packs because you’re just lighting stubs on fire.
So what should we even be doing? I just pulled a duplicate Corey Seager today and I have 110k stubs now, but with 97s being the top of the power curve, I would have to spend 62k on a 92 ovr Oswaldo Cabrera from months ago to add to my switch hitting team. Or 100k on Ian happ or elly de la Cruz. Goodrum is 160k stubs. The in game economy is totally [censored] and it’s because the only way they’re dropping the good cards are via 30k and 40k packs that aren’t worth the risk of buying, and they’re not giving them out anywhere.
