Why?

Why are people so stupid when posting cards on the market? When there is profit to be made flipping, people just LOVE to post a card 1,000 stubs+ less than the next cheapest card to ruin all profitability. Post a card for a stub less than the next closest and move on lmao. If you want your card to sell so fast, there’s a little tab that says “sell now” for a reason
-
Or they just want to sell it for slightly more than the sell now and don't wanna wait. What's it to you? lol

Sounds like someone is one of those guys lol
Bc it can really [censored] with the market and fucks over anyone trying to flip

I guess you could consider me one of those guys then, sure. I don't flip, I earned all my stubs through playing and getting good pulls in the free packs from all the events and programs and such, and yeah if I get duplicates I usually just sell them for the next best available price lol
-
I play cards to sell them.

100% sell it for the next best available price. But if a card is going for 45k and sell now is 39k, people can make 1.5k profit flipping that card as a passive income so to speak, and then someone will come in and post it for 42k, and completely screws the market for that card. Post it for a stub less than the cheapest and it will still sell. It’s not gonna get bought faster by posting it for 3k less
-
@Nauracy34 oh yeah no, I never sell it for less than you would get from the sell now price after the tax, that is dumb. If that is what you meant in your og post then I misunderstood and yes I agree with you lol
-
@Nauracy34... No.
First off, the market doesn't exist so people can make "passive income" by flipping cards. I could care less about your profit margins when I'm making decisions with my inventory.
And you're completely wrong about the speed with which something sells if it's considerably less than the "buy now" price; if I'm satisfied selling that card at $42K minus the 10%, and I want those stubs so I can do something else with them, then why would I post it for a stub less than the "buy now" so some fake-market junkie can undercut me by a stub, and then someone else can undercut that person by a stub... why waste the time when I can set a price I'm happy with and move on to doing what I want to do on my time, rather than playing out some ridiculous scenario where I have to engage with the shenanigans of Wall Street cosplayers instead of playing actual games with cards I'd like to use?
No thanks. I'll take a few thousand less than "buy now" (but a few thousand more than "sell now") to avoid that nonsense and be done with it quickly.

Yes that’s exactly what I was saying lol

Seems as though I’ve struck a nerve

Yeah. It bothers me when the self-absorbed start calling people stupid for acting in a way that doesn't provide them direct benefit.
But, considering your original post, I guess I--and people like me--struck a nerve first...

That’s the problem with some of the flippers, they’re wanna be venture capitalists, that think everything revolves around them.
-
I don't really care either way to be honest. I've done it the sell now way, the a few stubs less than others and the hundreds to thousands less to sell it quickly. It's a game and I'm gonna have fun my way.
-
I must say. i love watching people play the market likes its 24 hour job. Maybe get a job lol.
-
That’s the beauty of the market: your gain is not my priority.
-
Community market is an oxymoron: everyone for themselves.
-
This is so stressful... Now I have to worry about people's feelings when I sell my cards?
Should I be afraid of pulling a diamond in a pack, because it'll offend someone who didn't?
-
@Nauracy34 That is not true. If DeGrom sits at 45 and 1 card is put in at 42 there is no effect to the 45s … One is gonna buy his 42K-DeGrom and that is it.
I sometimes sell cards lower because I need the stubs quickly. If some people do this regularly, that‘s their right to do.EDIT: But it‘s kinda funny … response to post#1: Yeah, nice … not our problem

If a method works why should anyone change their method to suit you? It is clear that sell now prices dip overnight so if I place a bunch of lowball offers before bed that go through I can sell them well below the buy now prices at midday and still make a healthy profit. I don't care about what you are trying to do.

People tend to panic sell and I usually take advantage of that and turn them into free stubs. In some cases math is hard for some people and they lose stubs on the flip.
