I see on YouTube a player talks about the pci getting bigger or smaller. Is this only at a certain level or setting. My pci seems static.
-
It changes in ranked for sure. What settings are you using?
-
Doesn't that change depending on pitching and hitting attributes? My lefties have a smaller PCI against Lefties even if I seem to have reverse splits as a user. (in all fairness at .150 to .200 isn't anything to brag about lol)
-
I want to say the PCI is based on level (bigger on Rookie than on HoF), the batter's vision attribute (over 90 is bigger than 50), and the pitcher's K/9 attribute (under 70 is bigger than over 100).
-
It's based on difficulty level, then adjusted based on the hitter's contact/clutch rating vs. the pitcher's hp9/clutch rating. Then slightly adjusted even more for quirks, if applicable.

I thought vision had something to do with it as well?

@Finn_Scotus said in PCI:

Inner is contact, outer is vision
-
Outer is correlated to K rate -- basically, your chance of fouling off a pitch you miss with the inner vs. whiffing.
It's what leads to all the foul balls in 1v1...

I've been using zone hitting for 5 years, I remember reading someone turned his pci off. still zone hitting, just not visual, and he started crushing it. might be a fun experiment.

SDS can we choose one, either mess with my PCI or make me line out. Having both makes it so infuriating to play ur game. I use to come home after practice and play this game to relax but you’ll haven’t helped pitching like ever and make hitting this weird hit parade some games and the next game is every marshmallow bat simulator. I think I can say if everything was more CONSISTENT then people wouldn’t whine and just like real life, off one good pitch you can tell if the guy is good or not and not just getting a fisted double down the line to start the game. Sorry for the rant but ya the PCI changes based on Vision and K’s and situations and stuff, it’s annoying.

I've tried that several times. Usually when I start to focus on the PCI more than the ball. It helps you focus better.
The problem I found is it seems to only work for a very short time, then I turn the PCI back on and I'm back on track.
It's kind of hard to say if it's something you should stay committed too though.
