Thoughts on Season 1

S1 ends in a few days? What did everyone think of it? I think it started off solid, then the last few weeks it hit a wall. Barely any new content, not a ton of new players. Kind of a disappointing.

Season 1 still has 59 days. Part 2 of team affinity starts for season 1. We still have a long time to go.

Season 1 Part 1 gets a 5/10
TA cards themselves were overall good
Easter program was good
Everything else was too light on content and too heavy on packs.
Not a single major programI think they misinterpreted the complaints from last year. Its not that people didnt like stuff like Father's Day because it was too grindy, its because the reward did not match the grind. The cards in the program were mediocre during a period of lots of packs. (one good change this year I feel was making diamond duos back into headliners)

XP limits have killed it for me. Unless they bust out some big XP programs, I'll be lucky to make it to 1 boss let alone all 3.

Is it too tinfoil hat-ish to think that the real reason for a strict xp cap is to keep complaints about lack of content down?

This has been the least fun I’ve had playing DD since ‘18 and grinding immortals. MLB has been my main game for several years. I play it through Nov/Dec then catch up on new games until the next release. I upgraded my PC yesterday and started playing Helldivers. First time I’ve played a non MLB game this early in the year in forever.

Honestly this has been the most fun I've had except for the 1 week when the game came out but couldn't even play DD

Yup, if nothing changes, I will have no problems at all dropping the Show for College Football in July.

Yup, if nothing changes, I will have no problems at all dropping the Show for College Football in July.
That would happen anyways, even if 24 was great (it's not).
So many things about this year leave me fuming, not least of which is SDS's refusal to apologize for the state of the game at launch and post-launch.
Content-wise, making Monthly Awards a monetization tool DISGUSTS me. I don't care if you don't need the pack cards to complete the program. It's gross, and it's a clear indication of SDS's path moving forward.
