There was a time when something like this happened and SDS cared. They’d work quickly on a fix and compensate their customers impacted by their faulty product.
The Switch lockout for a second year in a row with not even a “[censored] folks, our bad.” was a clear demonstration that this isn’t the company it once was. It probably is more profitable so Sonys shareholders are happier.
But the soul of SDS isn’t there anymore. This happened before. But when it did, they did a lot more than just send @Victor_SDS out to the forums and @Manu__SDS to Reddit to absorb the arrows. They put Ramone and Tips on a stream, told us what was wrong, genuinely apologized, and made it right. That era is long gone.
This is such a bad take…
Why do people have to take a frustrating situation for both users and SDS and make it worse with such ridiculous commentary?

@JDHalfrack because people work and pay for a working product. Then on their day off they can’t play. People are paying $100-$150 for the top end versions of this game.

@JDHalfrack BECAUSE WE ARE THE CUSTOMERS?! You're the one with the horrible take. When you pay for a product and the company doesn't deliver that's called fraud. If your opinion is the same as the Devs of this game, I'm definitely done. You are way to accepting of mediocrity and incompetence.

@JestersDead13 dude y’all gotta be realistic haha seriously come on y’all. Sometimes these situations are incidental. I want a working product like everyone else but it’s unrealistic to expect a flawless product without any possible issues.

@Victor_SDS I selected the correct account and my account was still nuked. I think it may have happened when I added my XBOX relink. Everything was showing back up, then poof completely reset to the tutorial.
Guys, this is the kinda stuff that gives middle-aged men the widowmaker.

I spent way to much money on this game so far this year, I hope they fix this and I get all my stuff back. SMH

@VelvetThunder_x I do expect a working product. Been playing this game for over 10 years. Never had this problem before and I don’t own a single game that suddenly all my progress gets wiped. So your take on the situation is flawed.

Last reply 29 minutes agoI know, right? Poor old SDS..all these things just keep happening to them while they are doing their darndest to put out a quality product that is in no way, shape or form worse than previous years.
Like last week they released a patch that broke everything, but as people here rightly pointed out it was OUR fault for demanding they fix things. Stupid, stupid us.
As they continue on their path of totally not nickel and diming everything in this fine product, they accidentally unlinked most everyone's account making it appear that all progress was gone. I'm sure some stalwart SDS defenders will point out how it was something we did to cause this.
We really need to do better.

I just logged into both of my accounts here on the website, just to check if im linked, and I am. Im not unlinking until SDS says to do so for sure. I want my stuff back, and if I dont get it back, I swear on my dead Mother I wont be buying this game anymore.

You haven’t even got the brunt of it yet. There is going to be thousands of people who wake up in 2-4 hours on the west coast that have not even found out their progress is wiped. -
i don't appreciate being part of a Beta test, that's not what I paid money for.

@TallBobcat yah this games just horrible, been playing since mlb the show 09 n this is by far been the worst gaming experience, i hope it gets fixed or we get something but i doubt it

Hope everyone gets the situation resolved. Luckily I checked the forum first thing this morning so I am just not even going to start the game or look at my link status here for a while.
And while I am all for being patient and allowing them some time to work on the issue, this one is far more egregious than most of the bugs we have seen so far. Worse than simply having the servers be unavailable. It's not just the purchase price of the game this time but dozens and dozens of hours of time and countless money spent for stubs by some people.
I have to imagine that the vast majority of players never even check any forums to know that this is a wide spread issue.

@Victor_SDS I tried linking my account and there's still no progress. I completed all programs, a ton of conquests and my team was stacked. My birthday is on April 6th and was intending on kicking back and playing some mlb this is incredibly dissapointing and a huge inconvenience. I have uncountable hours and hundreds of dollars in with you all and this is unacceptable. Please correct this issue asap!
