Can we talk about this Buxton meta

Seems like every team is running the same lineup already. Why wouldn't they, the Buxton meta is pretty good.
Can we get a buff to the other captains? It seems with Buxton card you can make great cards amazing, but with the other captains you can only make bad cards less bad.
I took senga (might have spelt that wrong) and I believe he boosts pitchers with sub 60 bb/9. If I were to fill my rotation with pitchers who would qualify for this boost, my rotation and bullpen would be garbage. Meanwhile Buxton boost crews, trout, seager, Austin Riley, Harry Ford, and several other top hitters.
Can we even it out? Maybe raise the qualifying stats for the other cards so more players are eligible for the boosts.
Just my thoughts.

Buxton makes so many cards more fun early on. Running the same lineups will always be a thing as some cards will just play better than others. That all said, I agree with you that I haven't paid the other captains much thought. It would be cool if they corrected those so more mid level guys could bump up. The last thing we want is OP pitchers early on though.

There will always be a meta know matter what SDS does short of making every card exactly equal.
Personally I took Arenado but I did that so he could be on my Cardinals theme team. I have a hard time hitting with low vision guys anyway.

@Dolenz I understand. However, even if they made sengas card boost pitcher with sub 80bb/9, Buxton would still be meta.
I'm just saying make the other cards not useless.

Having low Vision with low Contact from both sides is definately not "meta".... especially with how Vision affects swing timing. Power and Speed attibutes are flashy, and this is why his card is attractive, and not necessarily because it is that much better than any of the other Conerstone Caps. -

If it wasn't meta than every youtuber wouldn't be making videos about it. Everyone online wouldn't be using it.

There are plenty of cards with medium/high contact, high power, and low vision that become cartoons with the Buxton boost.

It's so meta that unless your brain is turned completely off while comparing the captains, you will indeed "organically" choose it.

Guys, considering who to pick from the Captain pack to use with the Buxton boost -- Mondesi or Dunn?
Mondesi is the easy pick, but he doesn't really benefit from the +10 speed. Dunn's power is already great but with the boost it approaches max level...hmmmm...I might pick one and then just use 25K to get the other....

I grabbed Madux, (not just because of my braves fandom bias) but because his break is pretty good for an 88. In the last few show games, when it came to DD, I always prioritized my pitchers. I knew my Offense would come later. I think its pretty cool to have Bux but even cooler to try and not follow the norm or "Meta"

I'm not sold on this being overwhelmingly better than the other captains. I used Senga for a bit because I was also grinding the NL East TA and he boosts basically every relief pitcher in the game. Diaz, Bautista, Hader, Wagner, and a few SP like Ohtani, Nolan Ryan, etc

Not every team is using this meta. While i did take the Buxton, he's not in my lineup at the moment. Of course thats only because i finished the AL Central team affinity and i dont wanna waste a spot but still..

I'm changing my mind on it being meta for the moment theres maybe 15 diamond cards on the market that are eligable or have 60 vision or less. I however have been using him since the start though so i have slowly built up a pretty good 8 player boosted squad but at the moment theres not enough of a eligable player pool to satisfy alot of ppl

I think once people reach the HOF & Legend difficulties that Buxton meta will die.
