Daily XP cap?

Why can't you still play after you hit the XP cap? Do you people really only play to obtain XP for the reward path?

@aaronjw76 Yes, that is the point. I hit the xp cap twice too but I enjoy playing the game (rather than enjoy the xp reward path
).
To be constructive: By this they can control the power creep. Otherwise everybody would grind the heck out of shield woods -
If I’m playing Storylines, I’d like to not waste any xp normally earned. And if I’m playing a program like Spring Breakout, and XP are awarded in one of those modes as a reward, won’t it go to waste?

I think it’s 40,000 if I remember correctly

I believe it’s 60k something because i hit the cap yesterday and when i logged on this morning i was at 64k

That’s weird because everything I’ve heard is that it’s 40,000 and then it stopped working

I was at 64 k on the main xp path , im guessing that would be my total xp towards the cap, but im not positive, first time i ever hit the cap.

It only applies to gameplay XP and not XP rewards if I am not mistaken.

Ok. I guess I was confused about Gameplay XP vs just XP. I did a Josh Gibson moment and the 150 xp were added to my overall.

Just hit the cap around 35k with a message of I can't earn xp for 1:45:00

I got the daily cap message at 29550 today and can't gain any for almost 9 hours. Seems a bit random and silly.

I have played a LOT more in a day a LOT of times and never ever hit an xp cap. I didn't even know there WAS an xp cap. I have definitely earned tons more xp in a day than today and never been given that message. Is this a glitch? I only did moments and showdowns today.

If this is the case then I want my money back, because I work most of the time and the days I do have off I plan on grinding.

I have NEVER hit a cap before until today. I took one day off to have fun with the game and I get put in time out for playing? I'm not playing for the XP, but it sure would be nice to get what I earned.

This XP cap thing is the thing if I am being honest that really gets to me specially since it seemed to have been lowered from 60k to around 30 to 40k from reports from other players. It blows my mind for SDS to charge us more for the game for early access ONLY to slow us down via a XP cap and lowered XP from games (maybe other things). I was not ok with 60 but I can understand it and let's be honest 60k even in past games was a decent amount per day but now with lesser XP why the heck did they even lower it ( assuming not a bug) ?
I am done for now pointing out these issues cause it kind of ticks me off so just on a grind session and hoping we get a patch in the next 24 to 48 hours that corrects these issues. Then we can all get back to having fun that is not regulated by SDS telling us how we should play a game we all spent around a 100 bucks on give or take.
Have fun and lets hope this junk gets fixed soon -- back to the grind and the ball fest in CPU games.

Can you still progress in the minors even if i hit the daily cap (which is wild, i was j playing the game). Like for example can I get to the majors from AAA despite hitting the cap
