@BJDUBBYAH How many of them make up Major League Baseball? How about minor league baseball.

@Jacky-Chan1 A whole other women’s only league. No men. Not the same at all.

By that argument, you shouldn't be allowed to make a CAP. It's a false argument. Since you say women don't play in the MLB/MiLB, women can't be in MLB/MiLB games. I've never played pro ball, does that mean I can't make a CAP that looks like me?

Do all players have to have played in the MLB/MiLB to be in this game? Do all CAPs have to look exactly, and be named after, ballplayers that have played in the MLB/MiLB? That argument is also irrelevant because of the Negro league players. Most of the players from last years program never played in the MLB. Therefore they shouldn't be in the game? Not the same thing? I argue that it is. Women have been told since 1910 that they have to play softball instead of baseball. Look at my post above. Please read the article I posted on there.

If you don't want to use it, then don't. I do.

If you're going to try that argument, then, I don't recall any monsters appearing at any Major or Minor league parks in the history of the game. But the Kaiju had multiple "takeovers" last year, and appeared in ballparks in all kinds of moments.

You see, because it's a video game, it's not real, and the option to create a female ballplayer is just that, an option.

    It's not "woke"

Babe Ruth wouldn't be able to hit one pitch off Brady Singer.

I got a kick out of this and I’m sure you’re being sarcastic but it offered me great segue to plug this book I recently read that clearly and irrefutably demonstrated that had Ruth played in our current MLB ballparks (At time of writing the book - 2007) he would’ve hit over 100 home runs in 1921.

This is even more incredible when you consider he was swinging a 40 ounce bat and still managed to pull the majority of his colossal shots.

@broken_toy1 That’s a pathetic comparison. Again, not the same thing at all. I’m not against having them btw. I just wish they used their time and resources and more significant improvements.

But to be fair, it’s understandable that it would be in the Wolk category especially when you look at features that have been basically untouched for years but I digest lol the addition is fine. I don’t mind it it’s just I hope they didn’t leave the real road to the show untouched.

I agree it's a pathetic comparison. I used your logic in that comparison and backed it up with a valid argument. Be consistent or use a cogent argument.

Who cares? A lot of people all riled up over a video game.

A woman will play baseball before Babe Ruth gets into the batters box against Spencer Strider and I’ll bet a million bucks on it.

@broken_toy1 Except the logic in your argument is not the same as mine at all.

@fubar2k7 How is arguably the greatest player of all time the same thing as a different gender that has never played a single game in the MLB?

What’s that have anything to do with my comment? I don’t know what’ll happen in 2050 and neither do you but I know Babe Ruth won’t ever face Spencer Strider. Wanna bet me he won’t bat against Strider?

@broken_toy1 The difference is, men could become Major League Baseball players, so the CAP thing is not entirely unrealistic. Also, many people use it to make major leaguers who aren’t in the game. That’s not the same thing as a woman who has never stepped foot on a major league field. Again, it’s not the same logic.

I think people are misunderstanding some of the communities reaction to this. Look at it this way :

Community - Online franchise? Updated graphics? New legends? New features? Updated stadiums? RTTS improvements?

SDS - We hear you loud and clear. We're adding a female in RTTS this year. LOOK AT ALL THE COOL HAIR OPTIONS!!

    Lol, so fricking true.

Franchise will be basically the same. Hell, I bet even the coach glitches will still be in there.

But at least now I can barrel up a 103 mph fastball with a 5'1" 105 lb. woman and launch it 450 ft.

    Sigh.
