    Is not Toni Stone.

I wonder if MLBTS will sneak her into the game in 24.

I would say no because she wasn’t on any MLB team while Toni Stones was in the Negro Leagues. She played in the minor leagues which is professional baseball and likely wouldn’t get her included in the game. Similar to Joe Bauman likely not making it into the game although he hit 72 homeruns in the minors in 1954 which was the most homeruns by a professional player until Barry Bonds came along.

You're probably right @fubar2k7_PSN. She's an interesting gal, though.

In this articled on the MiLB site, it claims she was the first woman to play in the Negro League too.

@Blind_Bleeder Since she also played in the Negro League then it’s possible she’s one of the other 6 players.

I replied to myself for the link. My guess would be she would have to have played during the time MLB has included here. Scroll to where it says leagues.

She played before the teams' years they are including. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

The documentation for those years are so scarce that it's difficult to verify everything. It's nice MLBTS is highlighting the writers who did document what they were able to during those times.

They would be great as well but I’d say when MLB recognizes their league. You should start a petition and make it happen.

Also SDS has made it discrimatory towards the Negro League DD players. Everyone of some sort of ethnicity is more speedy than the majority.

But with the Toni Stone reference. History is being erased and rewritten and the younger generation are at an all you can eat buffet of misinformed information.

guys, I went and looked toni stone up, and it said this when I clicked on how many home runs did she hit.
"Stone became his successor there as he went on to a Hall of Fame career featuring 755 home runs, second on the career home run list."

    wrong stone??

@DaboiNoah That quote is referring to her joining the team that Hank Aaron left who went on to hit 755. I’d venture to guess she didn’t hit any.
