I personally know 2 and personally know just 1 other players using a PS5 or XBox X/S. I knew 3 but I purchased my girlfriends son a PS5 for Christmas so he moved from one to the other. I think his point was with that many consoles in the world the odds are they have a lot of people still playing on the PS4.

I hope next year the collector edition is on disc and is a ps5 disc. I have not considered a ps4 game in over a year.

@Intuitive-Tumult_PSN I got the remastered Red Dead Redemption for PS4 but I play it on my PS5.

Only Sony/SDS would have that. I suppose individual retailers have data on how many units sold per system, but that
A. ignores digital purchases.
B. ignores usage rate after purchase.My point is that even though you (and everyone you allegedly know) is on next gen, there are A LOT of previous gen users out there. And as long as they're still rocking last year's model, SDS is going to continue to accommodate it.

@SaveFarris just my two cents, I have seen numbers here and there including from YT content creators that the PS4 sales are anywhere from 2.5-1 to 3-1 compared to a PS5. So not here to do math this morning, but that is is somewhere around 60-75% of the game sold and played on a PS4. If these numbers are correct and I think they are in the range I would think than it is obvious to me why we are still getting a PS4 version. (note I am only on the PS4).

I think that's because it's only available for the digital versions of the next generation consoles.
Whoever told you this misinformed you. Someone has the link several posts above you. You get the digital PS5 and PS4 versions with this purchase.
If you check out OhChevTwo's 'Which MLB The Show 24 edition you should buy?' Vudeo; the graphic shows the Negro League Edition is only available for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. That's what I was referencing.

Not unless you can use the PSN gift card on PlayStation direct. That’s the only place I believe you can get it.

Not unless you can use the PSN gift card on PlayStation direct. That’s the only place I believe you can get it.
You can preorder it at retailers, but it's not available in the PS Store which is where the wallet is used. PS Direct does not even see the wallet.
