Opponent‘s wirless controller has been disconnected

Has anyone also wondered, why the only option is „Accept loss“, when this message appears?
I just had an opponent not touching his controller for two batters (2 HR) to this message -
Let me get this straight lol you got a message informing you that your opponent had disconnected their controller in order to cheat and you were only given the option to accept a loss over it? I really hope I’m just misunderstanding because that’s just absurd for so many reasons if it’s true
-
Nope it's true people actually disconnect their controller to try to get their opponent to accept a lose, people will do anything to cheat
-
That’s just horrid

Is that really new to you here ? It is true … just weird … I heard that some people do it to get people to accidentally quit … I had that in 2 games today
Has anyone ever got an answer from SDS on it @CBrev47_MLBTS ? I hope it is a bug that is gonna be fixed this year …

Yeah it's pretty sad that people abuse a otherwise perfectly fine mechanic. But at the same time I feel like SDS should program the game in such a way that when your timer runs out the game will be disconnected and the one with the controller issue will get the loss. Lots of ways to grief unfortunately, and this has been one of them for many years.

@YOSHI24 I did once accept a loss by mistake with this. Stupid.

Welcome to the game 10 Months late lol. Been a thing since last year.

… from the episode „If you can‘t say nice things, then reply this way“ …
Obviously people did not know, maybe they do not play that much online

Just one of the many aspects of MLB The Show that make the game a laughable disaster. Every year there’s something completely inexplainable like this. Anything approaching competitive online play has become toxic, exploit-driven garbage. Would love some competition from another game creator to hold SDS accountable, but that ain’t happening.

I have also on multiple occasions in event games copped a loss because my opponent has gone into the pause menu and let the timer run out. This is QOL stuff that should be the first priority to fix for the new game (since it's clear SDS couldn't care less about the current game as it's been happening for months).
