Please refresh my memory on what button(s) need to be pressed to rob a homerun.

    Thank you.

Start sprinting towards the wall where the indicator is and then hit the jump/dive button (R1 if I recall correctly) when you get to the wall. Timing is key; jump too early and you won't have enough hangtime to make the catch, jump too late and the ball will already be over the fence.

I can't use my right thumb very well, so I bought a dual sense edge, for the PS5, so I can remap the buttons. You could probably remap it to L2 which isn't used a whole lot. It will also let you use paddles/buttons under the controller. I've remapped X to be the right paddle. It's improved my swing considerably.

It's $200, so not cheap. However, it will save me in the end because it's easier, and cheaper, to change the sticks when stick drift occurs. $20 as opposed to $70 for a new controller. I usually needed to buy a new controller 2-3 times a year.

Sounds like a viable option for you Freeze. Heck I’ve got full use of my hands and I still ain’t able to rob a homer even if the fence is an inch high lol even when I time it correctly I’ll invariably end up in the wrong spot.

If you go and change dive/jump from two button to one button then I am positive you can use either R1 or R2 to do jumping at the wall or diving for the ball depending on the situation.

Don't mean to pry, but how come you can't press R1?
Also, you could remap buttons in the PS settings under accessibility. That would save you spending on a new controller with back paddles. Just remap R1 to a button you don't need/use. Just be mindful that this change will carry over to every other game as well, so if you don't want that you'll need to toggle it on/off as you go.

No you can pry. I forgot you were on 'sabbatical' most of the year.

Back in June I had neck surgery (fusion) and when the Dr pealed back one of the old (2003) fushions, to replace it, I had a Spinal Cord Infarction. Pretty much a stroke that affected my arms and legs.

Through MONTHS of rehab, that's still ongoing, I regained full movement in my left side. My right leg us about 90% and my right arm, minus my hand, is at 80%. My right hand is at 40-50%.

I can only use one hand to play right now.

@raesONE- He can do what I said and won’t have to remap his controller. Changing to one button will allow him to use either R1 or R2 to either dive or jump depending on the situation. I verified it when I played a game.

I'm aware, but since he said he can't use R1 for one reason or another, I wondered if maybe he can't use R2 for the same reason. So I offered an alternative.

I figured when he said it was the one he couldn’t use that he was okay with R2. He can’t change it to anything on the face of the controller without eliminating all the bases he has to throw too. Maybe they have an auto jump and dive that I forgot about but not auto fielding?

One of the directional buttons would be an option

It's not a big deal. Like @raesONE-_PSN stated; timing is a factor. I wasnt that great at robbing then when I had use of both hands.

It’s the imaginary 4th arrow for timing.

Tbh I’ve robbed maybe 2 all year. It’s tough.

I did have a guy I was playing catch it in his glove then it popped out over the board for a HR. 🤣

@lewisnadasurf1_PSN In my franchise I had it bounce off Outman’s shoulder and over the wall. At first I thought it hit his head like the Canseco blunder from the 90s but it was his shoulder.

I wish you well on your current fight and full recovery for you. Sounds like a horrible injury, but I am glad you have a brave and determined approach to this!

My injury was no where close to yours, but I find it striking how much of my physical ability I took for granted in my youthful, healthier years. My distal bicep tendon literally ripped off my elbow radius bone in an auto accident a few years ago. The nerves that run down from the elbow to the wrist/hand are very sensitive. So, my left thumb (pci control) does not always move where, and when, I want it to. I still get this weird tingling in my hand at times and it's very irritating. However, even though I have some issues moving left PCI accurately, I still do better with Zone hitting than using Timing or Directional.

@xElRojo44x_MLBTS I have no words to cover what our friend @X-FREEZE-OFF-X_PSN is going through other than god bless and hope all goes well. I can sympathize with your pain. I had carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel surgery over the years and it’ll hit me at the wrong time right during a game and 🤬 does it suck.

Now you're scaring me a little. I had a C3-C6 fusion last year. Other than the cool train track looking x-rays, it's sucked a whole lot. It's why I can't feel my thumb and my neck muscles always feel overused. On the positive side, the numbness that runs in a line from my neck to thumb goes over the best vein in my arm to draw blood from.
