New Ranked Season Reset to 198?

I have to say, playing my first ranked game in a while, I thought it might be fun and not too painful since I was somehow way down in Spring Training.
It was not much fun playing an opponent that was WAY better than me, in Shield Woods of course. I think at one point I was losing 7-1 and the guy still refused to challenge me in the zone.
The game ended 11-5 and I won’t be surprised if that is the last game I play. What is the point of “ranked” in ranked seasons, if a player like myself (never reached above like 550) has to play an opponent that is clearly not in “Spring Training”.

I’m fine with getting gooned in events, but if I can’t face an opponent at my own level down in the 200’s, what is the point of ranks? -
Well. Same for me. Decided to play anyway.
Was on veteran. First time I’ve played on veteran other than moments for what. 10 months?
Took me ages to get used to it. Fouling it off doesn’t exist. If you make contact it’s going up in the air or a ground out.
12-11 down bottom off the 9th. 2 outs. Swing and miss at a ball in the dirt. Goes way past the catcher. Make it to first on an error. Then get a double. Then 3 run HR to walk it off 14-12 when the guy dashboards. Sorry guy.

Yeah, it’s a pretty huge bummer to try and play ranked. I hover in the 600’s on avg. Would never claim to be more than a middle of the road online player, but every game is people who have no business being in the lower rankings, and it’s just not fun. Honestly I’ve quit every game I’ve played to move those players up the ranks. Maybe I’ll try to have fun again in a couple of days.

I had 4 forfeits in a row before the first pitch. At least give a try. I’ve noticed some players with very mediocre records are actually quite good this late in the game. Had a 12-11 sweat. People just see a WS emblem and instantly think we are all like Littleman or some other top player. Most of us pretty beatable, but it on there for some easy quits

I guess nobody works the weekends at SDS support team wise that is. I worked my tail off getting close to 800s this time around only to get dropped below 200. I only get to play on the weekends. Maybe next weekend!
