Is there another game where wasting your time is a feature?

Showdown, moments, clearing a Conquest map, placing buy orders, having to do missions with chitty cards, you name it. So much of this game is centered around the user wasting their time instead of actually enjoying the game and DD mode. Year after year. Rinse and repeat. No other video game feels like a chore like this one.
Every single card in this game should be purchasable by stubs. Every. Single. One. Why the hell do we have multiple duplicates that we can't sell or use in exchanges in the first place?
I know this may be shocking to some, but some people actually do enjoy Moments, Conquest maps, and Showdowns and don't feel like those tasks are a waste of their time.
I just checked my transaction history I have just under 30 purchases from the marketplace all year and probably 25 of those were at the buy now price. So not everyone spends hours doing buy and sell orders.
Each of us have the ability to look at a card or look at a program and decide if the rewards are worth the effort to attain them. Each of us makes our own decision if we want to try and complete every collection.

@Blind_Bleeder On the game or the app? I think you can do it in the app or so I thought I saw a post in here with instructions on how to do it.
Not in the game or on the web. If it's in the app, I haven't seen the option.
I got curious and messed around on the app. Go to the marketplace tab and select the filter on the top right under the search bar. It brings down a whole list of options. After making your choices at the bottom you can choose the blue “show results” button to filter out your selections. Would that work for what you want?
I don’t used the forum on my MacBook so no idea anymore what it looks like there.

Nope. It doesn’t have the option to show multiples owned. I selected Common cards, but I only see buy and sell now options, not quick sell, but even if it did, it’s still one player card at a time.
What we need is to be able to quick sell, say all Common cards from, say, the Free Agents, with a push of a button.

The awesomeness (at lest in my opinion) of DD lies behind different modes (which we lack of imo). We got things to do and everything gives … some easier (with lighter rewards) some more difficult (more rewarding) … you can choose if you want to do them or you can skip. Some cards are buyable (For the ones who like to put real money in the game) and some not (not everything is buyable in life).
To me, it was more frustrating that you had to have stubs to get the chase guys (imo the best cards) or getting all the cards via marketplace/behind paywalls via stubs.
Flipping is only a vehicle to get stubs … I would like to earn more and I am opposed to the idea, that money can get everything

I understand your point, but I think they should simply put ALL the cards in the game when you buy it, This then removes the grind, which in my opinion drives a lot of the toxic behavior online.
As it stands right now you pay the initial price, but that only gets you partial access to the game. You then have to buy via stubs or grind to get many of the cards, some of them appear to be being moved behind a paywall from what I read this year.
Just give me the up front cost for all the cards up front, I can then play when I want, no FOMO driving toxic behavior when I play others online, and everyone has the same, which removes a lot of complaints from the weaker players.
I know that will never happen because SDS is becoming EA sports part two, but its just a thought.

@darkblue1876 The purchase price buys the game and the live series cards. The other things are like DLC from days before. They can always do what other games do and charge us for each season. Sniper Elite charged me $30 for season 2 and I paid it because I wanted it and $30 is nothing to me. Lego Star Wars charged for every single thing that came out after launch and once again I paid it because I wanted it.

@Dolenz If you like playing games modes that don't reward your input that's on you. Don't make people play them modes to unlock cards. I'm 5 points shy of completing about 5 different programs, but I need to do Showdown to complete them. It's ignorant how they structure these things.

Or you get the game earlier and play the Events associated with those programs.
Most of the Other Programs had an Event tied to them. If you didn't want to play the Event
you needed to do Showdown and if you didn't want to do the Showdown you played the Event. -

Got it
To me, the grind is definitely not the cause for toxic behaviour. But you gotta have rewards for the people. Otherwise they won‘t play the modes … Imo it would worsen the experience and we would have more pay to win (more than now) …

You play a game that you clearly don't like how it works...that's on you.

@fubar2k7
Every new season should be a DLC. Instead, each new game is sold at full price despite the gameplay being largely identical. -
@halfbutt You completely missed my point. In this game we had 6 seasons. I meant if this game was other games we would have to pay for those 6 seasons and any content associated with each season.
You think I mean each new game is a new season. No.

OP banned, this didn’t age well.

He’s been banned a few times. He’s a troll. Don’t know why they don’t permanently ban him at this point.

Again? He's been banned more times than I've changed my screen name.
