Don't sleep in Finest Altuve. Sneaky speed and power.
I wish I could hit with Altuve! I wish it so much!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what it is about his swing, but I just haven't been able to get it down.

Love those unis those are sweeeeet

@Blind_Bleeder
- If you use the Rollins captain, Dihigo gets a +5 on speed, which basically maxes him out
- You put too much emphasis on speed/stealing. Unless you drag bunt the f out of the opponent (which would be imo the only reason to put use Jackie over Bellie and/or Morgan over Rollins (if you don‘t use the captain glitch) it is way better to value power (on both sides). You gotta get on base and those guys (especially JRam) will give you that
- Now that I think about: Do the drag but thing. I did that with some showdowns with him :). Sure run

It looks like we have similar styles.
My big difference is switch hitters. Raines and Rollins hit for power and contact, plus their speed is great.
I prefer incognito Honus Wagner, at first, to Jackie for his swing, but that could just be a me thing. Same with Acuna over Corbin Carrol.
That Trout card is the best of his cards I've used on MLBTS. Worth the half Mil of stubbs.
The biggest obstacle this year, for me, has been 2nd. Usually I use Jackie, but this year Jackie feels different. I keep going back to NLDS Bryson Stott even though he's just above average for me. The FK collection(?) 2nd (his name escapes me right now) that came out a couple weeks ago is who I'm using now, but he doesn't have that "thing" either.
Elly of JRam at 3rd. I hit better with JRam, but Elly's speed and steal are so nice.
I love to pitch and hit with Shohei so I have him at DH.
At C I use NLDS Realmuto because I like his swing and his speed is Amazing. That also gives me Biggio for the bench.
Speaking of bench, I typically use utility guys like Jazz, McClain, or (this year) Jackie. I think Jackie and Honus are interchangeable this year.
Can't help with pitching, since it's purely personal preference. I'm jealous you have that DeGrom though. Him and Verlander are on my wish list. I do like the 4seam, slider guys. The slurve is a good substitute for the slider and Ohtani is this year's favorite. I was trying to build a Tyler Rogers like SP, but since RTTS pitching is broken this year, there goes that.

Thanks for your thoughts @broken_toy1_PSN I can't believe I forgot about Incognito Wagner. He was my steady SS last year. I haven't used him much this year - I need to change that. I hit better with Wagner than with Jackie (you're right; he feels different this year), and his speed is nice, too. I wish we had last year's card, though, it was better.
I played my first extreme game today (Colorado) and Elly went 2 for 2 with a run and 3 RBIs. He had a double, homerun, and a stolen base. (I had 11 SBs altogether). With his defense at 3B, I can't see replacing him with JRam, especially when Elly has better attributes (offense and defense) at 3B than JRam does (remember, I have Elly at P5).
For 2B on my other squads, I've used Chase Utley and Ryne Sandberg with great success, but for this squad, I wanted speed, great defense (which both of those other cards have), and hitting compatibility. Morgan went 1 for 1 (double) with a sac fly, RBI, and a stolen base. I can't beat that in a three inning game.
I need to work Wagner into this!!!! Thanks.

Difficulty? Score?

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X
HOF and 5-0.
I faced 7 pitchers and used Randy, Helsley, and Lee Smith.

Here are the player's accomplishments for the first five games (the NL West):
Tim Raines - 3 for 5 at .600. 1 Double, 1 HBP, and 3 SB.
Elly De La Cruz - 5 for 9 at .556. 1 Double, 4 HRs, 1 SB and 1 Sac Fly.
Mike Trout - 3 for 6 at .500. 2 HR, 7 SB, 3 BB, and 1 Sac Fly.
Rickey Henderson - 3 for 7 at .429. 2 Double, 6 SB and 1 HBP.
Jackie Robinson - 3 for 10 at .300. 1 Triple, and 4 SB.Joe Morgan, Lou Brock, Bobby Witt, and Craig Biggio and have a combined 14 SB,but their batting has been sub-par. I've had 35 SB overall and scored 19 runs over the 5 games.
I think I just may make it through this.

@Blind_Bleeder Thanks!! Very encouraging!! This conquest is the only one I haven’t done either.

Through the first 10 games (NL West and Central) of the Extreme map. I had to cut Biggio and sign Realmuto.
71 stolen bases in 10 games. The one CS was my fault (well, everything here is my fault. I'm the gamer). Joe Morgan was on third, and Rickey Henderson was on first, and I forgot to press the stick to 1B, so only Rickey would steal. I tried to foul the ball off, but I missed it and struck out, so Morgan got caught.

Give Dihigo a chance, he also matches your speed request
… He also has higher contacts and enough power. You will not need JTs defense

I just don't see how the Dihigo card is better than the Realmuto card.

He’s coming off the bench so his ability to play anywhere on the field makes him valuable. He can bunt which could be a plus.

Hey if you like Realmuto then use him, I personally rake the Realmuto cards. It's your team use whoever you want, it seems like you have a good squad, it I can beat it playing on a Nintendo switch lite then you can beat it with whatever console you play on. I used Paul Skeenes for all the games and was able to grind him to p5

He is right … I meant the other Dihigo though

I'm halfway through the Extreme map now. Realmuto is working out well. I'm still on turn 2, so I should be good to reach the next turn-based goal (all territories before turn 6). I have 129 stolen bases in 17 games (I had to play the Nationals 3 times. I lost the 1st game, stole fans with the 2nd, and won the 3rd) and have scored an average 4.2 runs per game.
(I made this chart sortable by all of the stats so I can quickly check on how I'm doing with each player). -
Why are you batting your worst guy first in the order?

It doesn’t matter who I lead off with, I always suck with him. I don’t know if I need to see a lot of pitches before I settle in or what.
Also, I’m a sucker for the first pitch fastball in the zone, and I usually fly out. On the lower levels I will hit it out, but on AS and HOF, I fly out.
I’ve come to the conclusion that my leadoff guy is a sacrifice. I’ve had Morgan and Brock lead off already and their averages suffered badly. Now that I’m beginning the AL teams, I'll move Robinson down and I'll lead off with either Raines or Trout.

I wanted to name Trout, but I was not sure if you were open to this :). Especially in a conquest game you have to assure your best hitters come up twice a game. I would put him up or Elly
