What else is new?

Just watched two more streamers start with Capt Ripken on their team and then proceeded to sub him out before a pitch was thrown.

-
My suggestion.... Stop watching those streamers.

I suppose when he came to bat, yes? I do that too, because it is a substitution … As I said earlier, I learned about that supposed 6th inning thing here, which was never implemented in the game … It is therefore a legal substitution, because I could do so with every other batter (ok, 4 times
)

You don't understand. Ripken is in there to give his team a boost. Taking him out, and subbing him with a better player, still leaves the team with that boost.
It's manipulating the game.
@Dolenz_PSN that's not the point. The point is that they're promoting a glitch, which SDS has stated is against their TOS, but nothing is being done about it.
Same thing with the streamers that promote third party stubs.
If SDS is going to have rules; they need to be enforced no matter rhe time of the current game's cycle.

Yeah, but this late in the game they have not fixed it and probably don't care or don't have enough manpower to police it properly so getting worked up over it just seems like a waste of your energy.
Report them if you feel it is that important and then move on

Season 6 is nothing new. Just another example of HORRIBLE content this year. A stupid change from years past. I feel they hired a Madden content guy or something. Content is really the only thing this game had. Gameplay sure never changed.

I'm more pissed at the one's who use the boost but don't have that card in the lineup or on the bench
-
Pinch hitting for a captain after the game starts, regardless of the inning, is not an exploit.
My previous comment was in reference to something that is an exploit, which involves generating a captain boost without even having the player on your team. Which, of course, we are still investigating.

But its still giving the person's other cards a boost. Just a work around from not even playing tmthe Captain card.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X
I’m not saying I agree with being able to sub out the captain, but, with pitchers you may not even use the card supplying the boost so I understand why the boost is still there after the card is subbed. -

Well, you have your official answer. At this stage you can either adopt the strategy yourself or not.
-
@X-FREEZE-OFF-X @CBrev47_MLBTS already clarified … But you make your own captain rules, which where never communicated nor thought of.
Of course, it would make sense for the boost to lose its effect once the player is substituted. But that was no how it was invented or implemented in the game.
The captain has to be on the team to give a boost, but he can be substituted.
-
I get what @CBrev47_MLBTS is saying, but if they can be pinch-hit for, why can’t we get the boost with them on the bench? If they only need to be on team, then the bench should give the boost too.

When has SDS actually cared about punishing cheaters? They never ban known, extremely exploitive players unless its something that takes money out of their pocket, like finding a way to get free stubs or something.
FYI I am not taking anyones side on this topic.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X
I kinda agree here, rules are for everyone or nobody. I can say though I haven't seen any MLB streamer dumb enough to push getting 3rd party stubs. But I'm sure there's someone out there, I just haven't seen them.
-
That’s the least of my issues with the game. I get what your saying but with the use of all cards now, it’s kinda irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. I’m more focused on how for 3 straight years they basically bail on us 5 months early.

I could use, for example, a pitcher, or better yet a reliever as captain and literally never use them and get the boost.
-
@Dolenz_PSN I never use the pitcher captain for my Dodgers theme team in mini season. I just use 4 starting pitchers. I’m sure in H2H this isn’t possible but you can get by without using the starter in mini season.

Yes. But that pitcher is still in the lineup. Putting a batting Captain in your lineup, to get those players boosted, then subbing he out takes that card out of your lineup. But the boost still stays with the other players.
Yes, they lose a bench player. But when has someone used all 4 of their bench players in a 9 inning game.
And don't get me started on the ones who start Randy, for an ex, and then bring in Donaldson in the 6th, then close out the game with a relief pitcher.
The only way to sum it up is that people don't care about sportsmanship. All they care about is a win.
-
Not sure what the big deal is here. If Captain Ripken or Rollins were still insane in price then I would understand, but this exploit is available to everyone. Immediately subbing the player doesn't cost anything but one bench spot. I don't see the importance here.
