I also finished them all finally but only got a Live Series Justin Verlander from the chase pack, seriously have no luck with the chase pack this year, haven't pulled one chase pack player all season
I said in the other thread I got Glasnow only once has I pulled the chaser
-
I got a LS Ketel Marte for my efforts. The good news is that Mantle's price dropped by half, so I was able to get him for 365,000 stubs.
-
For my efforts got an 85 Alex Bregman from live series
-
I think I also got LS Verlander. I’m really glad it didn’t take me 40 tries. Champs, you’re a hero!
-
One moment always takes a ridiculous amount of tries. Like others have said a lot of it is programmed that way. As for chase packs they are almost always a guaranteed live series 85 3K diamond. Chase packs should at least give a 10K 99 diamond. At least then they would be worthwhile.
-
My story is the same as above, a few moments took a few times but not overall bad. Now, the packs were something else, the only diamond came from Chase pack and was a LS Kyle Tucker
-
Maybe this is a new program they’ve yet to announce lol the Christmas Scrooge Program

Heh. A new name for their usual M.O.
-
I don’t mind the moments. My thing is it’s basically a waste of time. These chase packs should be guaranteed at this point. Mantle still being 450000 stubs is ridiculous. You would think they would want to give people an incentive to still play this game but just like last year they basically quit on us 5 months before the new game. Next year will be the first time I don’t pre order it and just wait until it gets super discounted at some point towards the end.
-
Took about 20 Minutes. Didn't like facing Dustin May all that much. Dudes filthy.

I agree a 10k card would work for me I finally get a diamond on the wheel last night and I get a 86 LS lol come on

I'm a mediocre offline-only player who uses directional and I completed all 8 moments in 20 minutes. Really not that hard at all. However, went back to nab a couple Finests I had missed from that program and couldn't hit worth a [censored] with Lars Nootbaar.

Funny how everyone differs I was shocked I couldn’t hit a homer with Castellanos
-
I didn't have much of a problem. Got Mantle by hitting 2 bombs. Only Trey and Kim, which took about 7 tries each, gave me trouble. I think they both wear #7 which is weird.
What was the point of Dustin May in every Moment? No one wants to see carrot top throwing Slurves and Sinkers at them 🤪
I got Carpenter on the first pitch!
I actually called these 'minutes' by mistake at one point. -
@Scar_USMC77
I highly recommend this approach!
I didn’t play at all this year, then got the game for $10 after the WS ended.
It Wasn’t hard at all to do a few programs and get a half decent team together, and I save myself a ton of misery. -

It Wasn’t hard at all to do a few programs and get a half decent team together, and I save myself a ton of misery. That was also how I did it my first year…last seasons game! I bought it on Christmas Day for 10 bucks and played it to completion by the time the first month of MLBTS23 was out. I only missed out on four cards total according to my inventory although I missed all the weekly wonders. Wait until they kick off that ‘forever’ deal then you’ll get double XP permanently and things really start to speed up. That month where everyone transitioned to the new game really catapulted the ability to buy the cards that were remaining due to the market finally plummeting. The only cards I didn’t get were Trout, Walter Johnson, and someone else can’t remember but that was only due to their being like a zillion orders for the card and only like one per week being sold.
Seems like you got double stubs too which allowed me to purchase tons of those 50 pack bundles which would give you a decent card about every 50th chase pack lol. The stubs seemed to come in pretty fast and loose last year but things have clearly changed this time through. I should also point out that this was accomplished only playing about half hour each evening along with some marathon (well, to me they felt like they were) 2 and sometimes even 3 hour sessions on weekends - all offline. This was my first and will be my only time playing it through during the baseball season. The forum made it pretty fun but those days are over for me as well as a couple of late season rotten apples have spoiled the whole bushel. Granted it’s become much less toxic after a couple of strategic blocks. I will have to say it’s been refreshing reading the posts of @halfbutt_PSN (and of course the regulars) who remind me that people can disagree and discuss topics without condescending to prepubescent name calling - the only way to make public discourse palatable.

Thinking this may have to be my strategy next year if I decide to play 24. Get it late on the cheap, enjoy content at my own pace, and get a feel for if the game is simply more of the same. If it changes for the better great and it gives me something to look forward to. If it continues down the current path then I just pass altogether. Thanks for sharing your experience from last year as it helped sell me on my approach to next year and beyond. No more preorders and FOMO gameplay.

Heck man thanks for taking the time to read it. Sorry about the lament at the end of it as well as it was out of context however I will say that I’m pleased as punch to see the moderators were also paying attention. I really love this forum and have met lots of people whom I now consider friends here and would hate to see it go the way of so many other toxic online forums. Even if we all disagree about aspects of this vidya game we should always be able to unite based on our shared love of the great game of baseball.
Sounds as if you and I will be enjoying next years game in the same fashion. The only exception to this would be if they decide to surprise us all with a completely retooled experience but that’s a rather large IF and a bit of an ask I know lol.
I can honestly say that now that I’ve tried both ways of navigating the experience there is simply no question as to which is the more enjoyable way to play. It’s definitely the way we’ve discussed in my opinion however I could never nor would never begrudge anyone for their choice in how they go about it and am simply sharing my story here to add a little different flavor to the stewpot lol
