Ohtani FA destination

Please not the Dodgers, I think he'll go back to the Angels
-
@sbchamps17 Maybe? If his priority isn't winning, Angels are favorites imo
-
Probably dodgers.. wish, Cubs
-
@Bearsfan217 I rather pay Bellinger and sign pitchers and also have a chance to get Yamamoto too if possible
-
@Bearsfan217 Cubs -- dark horse candidate for sure, maybe even 2nd, 3rd most likely
-
@Invinitee
Bellinger -- IMO a huge risk to pay $200 M plus, maybe he'll perform, maybe he's back to hitting .180
Cubs need to get pitchers ASAP tho I agree
-
As long as he doesn’t go to Toronto, I can live with anywhere else.
-
As long as he doesn't go to the Dodgers, I personally HATE the Dodgers
-
@Invinitee Add Soto and that's what I'm talking about
-
He will not go back to the Angels and you can look to Trout leaving as well.
As far as where he lands, there have been no sightings posted of him popping up in any other cities (like there was for Judge). The Dodgers are the front runners. He has friends on that team, and they have cleared their payroll for him (and Trout). The Astros are another possibility too. Some have speculated the Yankees, but with Judge’s contract, that would be a huge burden on the club. They can swing it, but it’s not likely.

Yamamoto prob ends up in the Big Apple. Preferably with the Mets lol. Ohtani will be a Dodger. Heard Joe Kelly will be a Dodger soon also

I read they were shopping Joe Kelly as well. They’re also working hard to get Trout, but I can’t see the Angels trading him to the Dodgers. It would have to be a 3 or 4 way deal where another club would get him and then the Dodgers from there.
-
The Dodgers just resigned Joe Kelly
-
My guess is Toronto.
I like Ohtani and have much respect for his game. I love his competiveness and conviction.
However, the Dodgers FO may not want to pay a 30yr old $300+ million for a 2024 DH, with two TJ's, that may or may not pitch again at a high level.
He may very well hit .300+ with 40 HRs next year and pitch in 2025 and beyond at a CY level for a few years. Although, the latter is very much in question.
If the Dodgers do sign him, I look for a 4-6 year deal, worth over $60 million per year with incentives and opt outs on both sides. That way both are covered if he is not able to be a reliable top end of the rotation type Pitcher for multiple years.
In the end, I think the Jays or Cubs step up and offer him a longer deal, albiet less per year than Dodgers, but with more guaranteed money.
-
Dodgers, Giants, or Padres
-
Angels are still in it as well
-
Minnesota Twins. We have nice people here. And tater tot hot dish.
-
Pittsburgh Pirates. Lol
I'd like him to go to Boston; but he'll probably sign with the NY Yankees of the NL (Dodgers).
-
My guess is the Dodgers. But don’t forget he won’t be pitching anytime soon. Will he be hitting?
