The 40/70 Acuña card

I just got him yesterday. Being a nice Greek Orthodox boy I’m gonna run him out to the ballpark for a game before going to my girlfriends Catholic Church. I’ll let you know if he’s better than his 2023 All Star Card.

It’s the same exact card form the set 3 collection with better hitting attributes- why wouldn’t he be better? Lol

I did at first as well. Now he is amazing. It took about 15 games or so before he started to really kick [censored].

Had him a few days now. Hit one out first time up. He seemed a little slow on steals in online play, 0/2. (played online just to see how him and chase Trout would do)
Offline he was a dream. Hit 'em out left and right and couldn't be stopped running. Him and Trout are an amazing one two punch. Can't wait to add the new Tim Raines to the mix.

Thanks to all for the great replies. Y’all have given me something to aim for as I’m an offline only player so sounds like it’s worth it to keep on playing so that I can earn this card.
There was one post that questioned the validity of this thread so I will address this even though it’s quite obvious that the rest of y’all get it. I can only imagine that he is new to the game and hasnt had the experience with the issue of having a card with better numbers perform far worse than those with an inferior set. I’ve never figured out personally why this is sometimes the case except it is. The only thing that I’ve ever been able to come up with is that I believe sometimes they tweak the swing between different versions of the card or that there is just a sweet spot for everyone where certain numbers allow certain people to perform better while even the slightest change in EITHER direction can bring down the whole house of cards. I really don’t have an answer but I’ve experienced it too many times for anyone to convince me that it’s not a thing. I hope that sort of explains it. If it were simply the numbers then that shouldn’t happen but the fact remains with me anyhow that it does.

But saying Milestone Acuna is one of the best cards in the game is not an opinion its literally facts lol

We’re not discussing opinions here. His set 3 collection card was one of the best cards in the game and the same goes for his milestone card which is even better

Yes, everyone has different experiences with any card, for whatever reason... However, it is difficult imagining someone not doing (relatively) well with either of the two 99 Acuna cards (in online h2h).
I would advise using patience. Give a card at least 100 abs in online h2h before banishing it to the bottom of your deck.

If it was an opinion he would’ve said: “imo he’s good offline bad online”
Which btw literally makes zero sense lol
But he didn’t say that, he stated it as a fact implying Acuna is good offline but bad online which again doesn’t make sense
That’s why I corrected him and said it’s user error
His statement should’ve said “I’m good offline and bad online” bc that’s 99% probably the case
It’s not Acuna it’s him
