@Blind_Bleeder yes

Wouldn't make a difference unless you wanted to add randomness into the check swing calls. The game makes the call based on some internal computation and not the animation that we see.
-
@Dolenz that's fair. I guess it's just frustrating.
-
I thought I read on here once that the players have attributes that help determine the check swing calls but don’t hold me to it
-
Check swings frustrate the heck outta me...especially when you very clearly hardly move the bat. 99% of the time the animation you see IRT, and the swing feedback box show two different things
-
There is no rhyme or reason to it just like in MLB.
was watching one of the playoff games and a batter checked,on appeal ruled a swing, saw the side view replay,close coulda gone either way. a few pitches later same batter another check and appeal, replay and it looked about the same as the first,this time called no swing.
I don't get upset at the game for it,cause they don't have any consistency in the MLB either. -
It’s definitely rating driven. Like the batter vision and pitchers walk rate. The visual we get is no different than an umpire missing a call in real life. They use to have challenged plays at first. Shame they took those out.

@fubar2k7 I remember those along with promises from sds that they were working at implementing them elsewhere. I liked that feature while it was in. It reminded me of challenging plays in Madden back in the SNES days.

I’m guessing there was some kind of issue with online play that got it removed like the removal of wind.

I’ve been playing MTO several times and have had the option pop up to challenge a call but I’m pretty sure it was prompted by the game itself if there’s a way to initiate a challenge on there then I’ve not seen in. Then again I’ve not looked for it lol. Still this is the only place I’ve seen anything like it in the game I’ve never seen it happen once in DD conquest or vs cpu which is what I play mostly.

Lol. Seems like they regressed 7 years or so to when they had no weather effects. The sport is played outside. It reminds me of the Astros fans crying about the game at Yankee Stadium a few years back that got postponed because they don’t have a roof and Minute Maid does. When challenging plays was in franchise it was initiated by the CPU as well. I didn’t know it was in M2O. I haven’t played this year. I don’t care for it but will do it at some point for the trophy.

I thought this was about appealing that ban hamma, or something
