Rage Quitting(impulsive rant)

If I play a guy that has all P5 cards like Acuña, Rutschman Elly pitching as Randy, all guys hitting over .400…I’m out immediately. I’m not trying to play that. I’m a 500 level player. I’ve played guys with the World Series icon as a 400. This game sucks towards the end of the year when all the non streaming non caffeine tweakers are gone. I quit, a lot.
that is completely fair mate i hear you there !!!

I only rage quit events. When the opponent hits a homer on a ball extremely hard to make good contact on. Events frustrates me more then any more.
I don't play BR because they charge stubs to play which is ridiculous.
I never rage quit Ranked anymore. I used to but now I try to get the game completed regardless what the score. I also haven't been beaten by more then 8 runs in 2 years. So either I've gotten better or SDS tweaked the game mode to be more competitive.

i hear you completely - i never Q in ranked, but events ill drop no problem
ranked i have been down once quite a bit and came back in the bottom of the 9th, only to lose in the 10th or 11th, but it was one of the best games ive ever played in the many years ive played
staying in the game in ranked makes all the difference imo

Rage quitting is the most annoying thing (ok, besides playing at shield woods). I would put the constant quitters who play ranked into a league of their own. Give them rank „quit“ and let them play each other till the end of the day … punishing them on points more drastically will only help their cause (leveling down to play „weaker“ opponents)

You don't check that lineups batting average in game?
Msynr he P5'd all those players offline and sucks online.

Not me , I take it as a challenge. I'll try my best , I will also use bull pen pitchers that I rarely use so my good bullpen has energy for the next game.
But I get it , you want to enjoy the game your way . It's all good. -

Waah! People won't let me pad my stats against them! And to tell people to get gud at the same time is sad. When SDS finally starts punishing the cheesers, glitchers, laggers and people who use cheatware maybe they can get around to forcing people to get pounded non stop by a get gud bully.
"My record is 123-74. I can't hit nor pitch worth..." Humble brag noted.
No. I'm objectively bad. I thought the record indicated that. The demons are the ones with 5 wins per loss.

The only way round it is proper punishment.
If you dashboard, 24hr online ban.
Or just simply make the games 3 innings minimum.
I understand some disconnects will
Be genuine so maybe a 3 strike rule.I honestly don’t care that much about people quitting as long as they let the ball land, press options and quit properly.
Dashboarding really triggers me. It’s a cowards way out.

Dashboarding really triggers me. It’s a cowards way out. That's the main thing that has to be fixed. Dashboarders need to actually face punishment. Cool down periods don't work as their bug riddled game punished people on co-op as much if not more than the dashboarders. Perhaps not only not giving them any post game rewards for the game they quit (if they went more than the 3 innings), but those rewards should go to the person who got ripped off.
Since they clearly don't care about anyone's online experience the only thing we as customers can do is stop paying them for a poor product, and in just the three years I have been playing this game it has gotten worse every single year.
They need to be hit in the pocketbook. HARD.

When you start paying for my copy of the game you can dictate how I play it.
When you start working my 50 hour workweek you can dictate how I spend my free time.
-
Get the new Randy Johnson. I started him 6 games in a row the opponent just quit lol. It is what it is at this point

True, but it works the other way also. Currently, dashboarders are dictating how others spend their time by preventing stats needed for a program.
Preventing a single homerun doesn't seem like a lot, but it adds up over time. Dashboarding is infectious and should be addressed, if possible. I like the "3 strike rule" that someone mentioned above.
-
I don't think they are all rage quits , because one time I was losing and my game kicked me out on its own , my opponent messaged me accusing me of rage quiting . I told him I didn't quit the game disconnected on its own. ️

Or, unless it's required, you complete stat based programs against the cpu.

True, I mostly do that myself, in part due to the H2H dashboarding problem.
However, a lot of users prefer H2H games in Events for grinding purposes and it is not good for them to lose stats due to an overly emotional, sore loser, rage quitter.
-
As long as you let my HR land you can quit all you want

That's all I really want. I am a weak hitter and I still get plenty of people who dashboard me on homers. I don't really care about W-L as much as advancing on programs.
I never played madden online, but didn't they just set it up so if the other person checks out due to quitting or disconnect that you just played the AI the rest of the way? That would probably be easiest and best. You don't lose any stats and get to finish the game.
Last night I played a cheeser who set the game for rainy conditions and quick pitched me plenty and paused any time I got even remotely close to a threat. I ended up with just one run on 3 hits and got jobbed on a perfect perfect that was hit as hard as I have ever hit online and it was just a routine fly to center. (possibly the weather was the reason)
I got to the 9th inning with a no hitter and after the first two batters grounded out he quit. I don't mind since you don't get anything special for a no hitter, so I didn't really lose anything and consider it a no hitter anyway, but just an example that even lower tier players get hosed over too.
-
Very good point, also. Especially when it comes to BR/Events. The rage quit is much more respectful after the HRs register.

@BJDUBBYAH_PSN said in Rage Quitting(impulsive rant):
I quit games, at any point, if my opponent becomes toxic. Winning or not, I do not care, it’s October and I refuse to deal with it any longer. So, technically I’m “Rage Quitting”
Why should I be penalized for excusing myself from a toxic situation politely?
Also a great point. You shouldn't be penalized if you're tired of the toxic opponent.
So basically my entire rant comes from playing mostly ranked, either losing or being quit on,and my ego wanting better stats to justify the ranked grind.
You grind hard for a player. Once you get said player it's so rewarding for them to be .350-.450 hitters. But instead you're playing only pitching demons or ppl that dashboard after a couple HRs and good pitching.
