Pennant Chase program

I'm expecting the Showdown to be of the easier variety ala Great Race / Clemente.
I didn’t try that one but I really struggle at them so hoping for the best lol
-
Not much to draw me back which is good because I have fallen behind and need to work on getting McGwire.
That said, I am a little disappointed in this.
Matt Holliday (99) - Colorado
Matt Holliday (97) Colorado
Matt Holliday (90) St. Louis.Unrelated, but also disappointing, are guys getting Topps Now call-up cards but they have ignored Masynn Winn (First Hit, First RBI, First HR). But of course they gave a 90 version of him at the same exact time, in the same exact program, that they gave us the awesome 90 Matt Holliday.

By just completing showdown I got 14 pennant chase packs, after opening them I have 14 more gold cards, thanks

Gird yourselves.
The Pennant Chase Program consists of 2 Stages. The Stage 1 Program maxes out at 85 Program Stars and does not carry over to Stage 2. Once Stage 2 has been unlocked, completing Stage 1 tasks will not grant Program Stars towards Stage 2 progression.
Half the player base will never read the quote above and come complaining when Stage 2 is released about why they're not being awarded program progress.
Here’s to just hoping I don’t have to do the showdown to progress cause I can’t I’d rather spend hours grinding
You get 10 pennant packs if you complete all parts of the showdown. It is also repeatable for those packs. I pulled Whitey and Troy within my first 14 packs total.

lol this program is awful

Seems like they actually made a decent program. What’s bad about it?

Also happy to see that it seems snap shot series appears to be dead in the water cause they have all but forgotten about it.
What made you think there was more to it than what they have done so far? I also agree the cards look ridiculous but I never see the cards when I’m playing the game.

I read it but I still got no clue as to what it means lol

I’ve ripped about 12 packs now and all I get are golds and four Troy Glaus cards! Jeez
-
Finally, a 99 Whitey Ford. All I need is a Hal Newhouser and I am fully pleased.

I'm holding out for Luis Aparicio.

If I am adding this up correctly: doing the Moments, Missions, and Map but don't pull any of the Awards cards from the Pennant packs, then I only get 60 points. I need to pull a minimum of three different Awards cards from the Pennant packs to get the needed 85 points. The reason I am not including the Showdown (I know, I know, for some of you it is a walk in the park) is because I am horrible at them.
Sigh, I don't even know if I will begin this program.
-
Ok I’m late to this party but LS Golds? WTF not even collection fodder. Not worth the work for QS cards. SDS has stooped to an all time low this year. YAWN

I am being completely honest when I say that this showdown was really easy. Most of the rounds you are tied or maybe down 1. Only rounds you are down more are 1 is with the bases loaded and down by 3 and the final round where you are down by 3 with 20 outs. It went really quick for me last night, probably took me no more than 45 minutes total. There are quite a few lefty pitchers in the Showdown, so I went righty heavy with Stargell, Devers and Jackie Bradley Jr as my lefty hitters. If you decide to try it, good luck. On a side note, you get a ton of the Pennant Chase packs. Odds are you will pull at least 3 of the players.

I’m with bunny here, I’m not following this at all.
Have they announced when Stage 2 is coming?
Do I need to stop playing in DD what I’m currently playing (TA3) and get started on this program?
Is this conquest map and showdown going away when Stage 2 comes out?
Will I be able to get Stage 1 cards when stage 2 comes out?
Will stage 2 give me enough stuff to do to complete both Stage 1 and Stage 2 progress?
In another thread, guys are talking about all these Pennant chase packs. Where are they coming from? Playing “something”? Buying them?
Feel free to talk to me like I’m 6 years old.

Just small warning to everyone who is stupid as me. Don't collect every card in stage 1, if you do that then you will have to grind almost 8k pxp with pennant chase program players to be able to complete the program. As I saw the collection in both stages I thought I will be able to collect them in both but nope. Oh well, I will not read notes next time anyway

Stage 2 opens when you complete Stage 1 (get to 85 points), so it's already out. Anything you collect in Stage 1 you CAN NOT collect in Stage 2. So don't do all the collections in Stage 1 or you will be screwed for Stage 2. The conquest and showdown only apply to Stage 1 as Stage 2 has it own set of missions you need to accomplish. Anything you do for 1 does not count toward 2. You will get at least 20 packs from doing the program, showdown and conquests. You can buy the players too but I would wait until you opened all your packs. I already have 3 of the 5 and I am only at 40 points right now.
