Kinda find it intriguing that you guys can’t stand moments but are completely ok playing cpu on rookie… against the same sh*t pitcher….at the same elevated stadium…hitting homer after homer overr and overrrr again.
Atleast with moments you’re using new guys at mostly different locations

I don’t play cpu. I play conquest because I have to, but I don’t play nine inning games against the cpu. If I ever finish all the moments and showdowns and conquest maps, I play ranked. Playing ranked is all I really want to play, but I don’t get to play that mode that much, because in order to field a competitive team for that mode, I have to complete 58 moments and 10 conquest maps and 10 showdowns.
I’m glad you like moments, though. SDS should rest easy knowing at least one user enjoys them.

Please don’t read this and think I’m being snarky. Just trying to give you my perspective….
“Playing CPU on rookie….hitting homer after homer….” = success and is fun!
Doing the August Monthly Awards Lowe Moment over 20 times before getting it (or skipping it) = Failure, frustration and is definitely not fun!!!
For me, it’s as simple as that.

And while playing against the CPU you're at least earning PXP, so that 30 minutes or so isn't just nothing. As opposed to a frustrating moment where it's just to get some points for the Program, and that's it, no PXP.

I have said this for years. Has there ever been a moment where you actually feel like you are in the “moment” and really recreating it? No, we all tolerate them and slog thru the extreme monotony thrilled it’s complete then it’s rinse and repeat

1 Time...The Year Moments were introduced and we had to create Babe's Called Shot...Only Time a Moment was truly a moment.

I honestly don't mind moments. I would say 75% I get on first try. Maybe another 20% within the next 2 or so tries. 5% take me 3 or more tries. You get to sample the swings of various players I wouldn't have normally had the opportunity to play with. I have a few players in some of my lineups that are there because I liked their swings in Moments or Showdowns.
-
Add me to the list who rather enjoys moments. I did all of the Topps now and Great Race of 98 Moments yesterday. There were a few that were tougher for me but they still did not take me that long.
I also took a shot at the Showdown and frustrated myself by tying the game against the final boss but was unable to push across the winning run. grrrr.

This is such an excellent point and WTG for pointing this out. I have to agree wholeheartedly with you yet with a slight variation in that I’ve picked up on many great pitching windups that have been fun to apply to my created pitcher in rtts.
Fantastic post partner thank you

The flipside is true too. Where you do a moment and think to yourself "I never, ever want to use that guy again".

Very true as well.

Some of you tried to show the silver lining, and that’s great. Trying out swings I suppose could be helpful for some. But I’m going to stand firm in my assessment that they mandate an excessive amount of moments. Over twenty for a single program is at least two times too many.
But thanks for putting a positive spin on things. That’s always necessary and many times it’s helpful. I say this with sincerity.

So…many…moments…
I hope they get more creative with how one might earn points toward a program. This is so incredibly boring…
SDS adds Collect missions and Showdowns.
Users: NOT LIKE THAT!!!!

Good post by you and the silver lining guy. But the can’t find the silver lining as I am never going to use Topps Now guys or 95% of Minthly awards guys, so I don’t care what type of swing they have. It is just tedious work.
But I do love they have showdowns, collections, and conquest, so I guess that’s my program silver lining.

I tend to be a glass half full guy and look for things that I feel could be improved.
For example, August Monthly Awards. Look at the stat missions. Which one is not like the others?
45 IP. Ok, that’s five full games. You should be able to get the hits and rbis during those 45 innings as well. And 5 saves.
Oh wait. You need TEN. Why do that? It’s unnecessary and just makes the grind to finish this program just that bit longer. Or skip and get close (depending on how many moments you skip) to having to spend stubs to finish.
Again, make it straightforward and stop with this kind of stuff.
-
I’ll keep going. The exchange set is 500k for 10 points. Those cards go for 10-15k apiece. Again, that’s too much. And just adds to the grinding part of the game.
How about 100k for 10 points??

I've had that happen once or tw...ten thousand times

I have no problem with them but let me select my own level for them. Don’t automatically select lower levels. Let me play the moments on All Star if I wish not Veteran.

This is one thing that Madden does that I wish DD would do. Give those that want to play on higher levels extra rewards.
Those of us that want to play lower, less.
That’s fine. Just let us choose. Oh, and if it says Rookie, make it true Rookie. Not Rookie with jacked up sliders.

Thank you. Exactly how it should be. An extra star and one less for lowering the level.
Some pitchers on low levels feel like slow pitch softball.
