New card series for S4.

Any thoughts or guesses on what we will see in season 4? I’m sure some people will make the jokes- “more awful content” “grind 97 and buy 99” etc….get it out if you must haha.
But I have no clue what to expect for Season 4. Its too early for Postseason and obviously All Star is done. With Kaiju and Incognito, kinda seems like anything is possible.

set 4 runs until the end of the mlb postseason, so you will more than likely start seeing postseason cards towards the end of set 4.

Maybe it will be a 5 tool player series called Blue Collars or something like that.

set 4 runs until the end of the mlb postseason, so you will more than likely start seeing postseason cards towards the end of set 4.
Also, any Set 4 players you get, are truly end game without having to use the wildcard. Since season 5 will allow you to use Set 4 players and Season 6 will allow all prior sets.

Well let’s see what else they’ve come up with this year…. Incognito, cool art, dumb that their names don’t show up in game. Kaiju, ok I guess but the fantasy monsters and dragons aren’t for me.
You’re guess is as good as mine but based off those 2, I’d assume it’s directed at teenagers or younger.
I wish they’d stick to the basics. Rookie, All-Star, Veteran, Topps, Awards… we don’t need more card types, we less imo.

I just want legend cards already enough with the flashbacks. 99 Reggie Jackson, 99 Brett and 99 actual Honus Wagner better happen in set 4.

Blue Collars are the opposite of 5 Tool Guys: guys that don't have the depth of talent or skill but get by on "grit" and "hustle".
A 5 Tool Guy would be A-Rod or Acuna.
A Blue Collar Guy would be someone like Max Muncy or Joe Musgrove. -

Blue Collars are the opposite of 5 Tool Guys: guys that don't have the depth of talent or skill but get by on "grit" and "hustle".

We need some better relievers. Set 3 was really lacking compared to 1 and especially Set 2.

With incognito and kaiju, I assumed they were going for Heroes and villains but didn't want to call players villains or monsters so went for a type of monster that doesn't conjure up thoughts of OJ and Aaron Hernandez (first two athletes that came to mind) Then we'd be making fun of them like the Juicy packs a couple years ago.

I would assume set 4 will be a lot of juiced up legends. Endgame versions of cards that appeared before like Honus, Clemente, Mays etc. Set 5 should be finest so I doubt we see many flashbacks in set 4 since I believe every team will get at least one finest card in set 5.

Was just thinking that. The last two years (I can’t speak to years prior to that) they were dropping card announcements a week in advance. We are 3 days out and all they’ve said was “season 4 is coming”. Then again, hype isn’t always a good thing. Anyone remember WCW- The Shockmaster?

New series we be called Best in Show (get it because they are the best legend cards in mlb the show) i'll let myself out.

To teach everyone not to complain they’ll go with the Retro Series and everyone will be rated under 90 since 99s at launch triggered so many snowflakes.
