Bellinger had a .400 avg for the month, higher OPS, higher SLG, higher wRC+ and higher offensive runs above average.

Bellinger had a .400 avg for the month, higher OPS, higher SLG, higher wRC+ and higher offensive runs above average.
Im obviously biased but I feel like factoring in the defense is what makes it lean in manny's favor. Almost every belli leads in is marginal

I am not sure when a .400 avg over a .309 average is marginal?
And the 2 point lead in Offensive Runs above average is not marginal. If it was marginal then two other players would not be between Bellinger and Machado in that stat.
Again, I think it is a coin flip. I am not invested in either one of them so I really don't care but I just feel like there is no clear-cut winner here.

Like I said I'm clearly biased haha. I think MLB will probably give bellinger the NL POTM because he's a bit more media favorable and it's a feel good story because he sucked for the last 3 years and hes resurging. It'll force MLB the show to give it to him. I can only hope otherwise

Now they are doing like 4- 98’s, so I bet Manny gets one of those. I like those cards a lot. Manny is having an insane month. I agree Bellinger is a bit more of a story as Manny is just being Manny again after an injury laden slow start but he will get his set 3 big Diamond I’m sure.

Gonna be tough. Manny, Tucker, Mc Cormick, Cody B, Casas, Julien. Any could be argued for lightning. Just depends on what you compare. And that isnt even looking at pitching. Just assuming they go hitter. Personally I would like a guy with no, or less high cards. McCormick, Casas, Julien, ect. But not sure if they got enough AB's

Typically it goes to whoever MLB awards player of the month to in the media. Which is usually the WAR leader for the month. If they go with someone else its because they hit the most homers in the month or something. Belli and Manny tied for the lead in WAR so it wouldnt make sense for it to go to those other guys.

I would not say typically. They have certainly seemed to do it this year but last year SDS rarely gave it to those people. Judge, Arenado, and Goldschmidt won half of the MLBs POTM last season and none of them ever appeared in the program.

Machado, Tucker, Abrams, Musgrove, Burnes, Riley all get henchmen cards. Maybe a Merrifield and Glasnow card too.
Pivetta, Payamps, yarbrough for RP? who knows. -
