Where's the hype for Set 3?

Not sure what to think about those. On the one hand they'd fit the pattern for this year. On the other it seems weird that current All Stars wouldn't be the main cards and flashbacks be the henchmen.

97 retro all star cards, in my opinion these are the henchmen they have to be, I have been behind SDS all year but I will say if these are the main cards then that's a huge L

The only, only response I have to this is that TA 2 has always been the weakest one with 20, 21 and 22 all being Future starsand generally not that exciting which is then followed by the All Star TA that normally lights a fire under the game for a good bit.

EDIT - Ok now I think these are the TA3 rewards. Separate program for current AS players with 92-97s as rewards. Acuna/Ohtani (if they're not POTM) as rare round in 50k AS packs.
I think that ticks all the boxes with this year's content model.

It is a bit odd. Even the live event being right before all the content launches seems an odd strategy. Like if I’m showing up at noon I’m showing up at noon. So having a pep rally at 11 does not seem to be getting people hyped that would not have been getting on anyways. Why not the day before (today) so you pull more people in that might say “hmmmm oh THAT is happening at noon tomorrow ok well now I might have to jump on if I can”.

They have been doing the live content stream before release for a bit now so not anything crazy there I will say that sor season 2 they pretty much revealed everything before the stream so the actual stream was super flat cause there wasn't much to be surprised about so that could be why they are holding back.
I am trying to be optimistic here cause I love this game and I like the changes but those 97s that were revealed have me concerned cause as fun as that Gallo and would be as a main reward now would be hard for even me to swallow

Part of me really hopes these are henchmen. But f they are the main rewards- it might be fun to grab some popcorn and watch the circus erupt. I’m never one to take my toys and go home, but this would be huge L.

Agreed, I love this game but if the revealed cards are the main rewards even I can't support that and would likely move on

Last years all star TA program
iirc we were just able to get 99s via completing programs at this point last year
I’m pretty sure all the 99s this year will be behind a paywall as we’ve seen already

It continues to be so odd to me how caught up people get on the overall rating. Whether a card is a 97 or 99 is completely meaningless to me. There are some 97s that are great and some 99s that suck and vice versa. I'm much more interested in seeing the underlying ratings than the overall and seeing how cards play once I get my hands on them.
