You are right. But I’m wondering if people noticed that in the schedule it says season 1 cards rotate out of solo Ranked seasons. I realize they aren’t gonna write every program they no longer qualify for, but I find it interesting that they mention this and nothing else. I’m wondering if they are walking it back a bit because so many people are upset about the structure. So can you use set 1 in Co-op ranked? TA? Events? It’ll be interesting to see what they do

Yes I see solo ranked it says and I remember hearing events and some conquests but never heard set 1 won’t work for ta 3

HOW WILL SEASON 3 IMPACT TEAM AFFINITY AND OTHER PROGRAMS?
Team Affinity and Other Programs will be affected in much the same way as the rest of the Diamond Dynasty modes when Season 3 goes live. Team Affinity Seasons will only allow Season eligible player items to be utilized towards Team Affinity Program progression. For instance, only Season 3 eligible player items will give progress in TA3 Programs, only Season 2 eligible player items will give progress in TA2 Programs, and only Season 1 eligible player items will give progress in TA1 Programs.So basically Season restrictions are in force for Team Affinity.
How I read that is that no Set 1 players will give any progress towards TA3.
At least that is how they intend it based on the above link from their website.

What would be the harm allowing Set 1 to be used in offline grinding for TA3? Not seeing a reason other than just creating more tedium.

Personally, I'd rather have you disappointed now than sit and wait to see you be disappointed on Friday!
That way you don't grind on Friday with S1 cards and see that you aren't getting anywhere! -
The only thing that I see as being unclear is if the one Wild Card slot (if we place a S1 card in there) will earn progress towards TA3.
On Friday, I'm going to play a game with S2 cards from one team and have the one S1 card from another team in the Wild Card slot and see if I earn team PXP with it.

My observations are anywhere it says "Season 3 eligible...players" is going to be where Set 1 cards will be ineligible. I never played the Co-op, so I don't know what the eligibility requirements are. TA have had the "season eligible" requirements, so that is most likely not going to allow Set 1 for TA3. Events I would assume would mention if it is "season eligible players" if it will be for the current event. Mini Seasons have the season requirements noted on those that do have the season requirement. I am pretty sure SDS will be continuing with this format and if they had the plans to go otherwise, they probably wouldn't have mentioned how Set 1 will be good again during Season 6. Of course, we will find out in a couple days.
