Again, looking at your game history, I definitely do not think you are "kicking the __ out of scrubs" when your game history shows your last ten games (as of 6/25/2023 3:16PM PDT):
- 6-11 L
- 10-9 W
- 3-2 W
- 9-8 L
- 3-1 W
- 6-2 L
- 3-2 L
- 2-0 W
- 5-3 W
- 9-8 W
You may have had a 6-4 record in your L10, but your biggest win was by two runs in three different games and the other three wins was by one run. Your losses was by five runs, four runs, and two games by one run. Your run differential is -2, as in NEGATIVE TWO. So how is that "kicking the __ out of scrubs"?
yes the whole point is that when i play on all star, as those games were played on, i don't play as well and thus have less fun
i'm looking to strike a good balance of competition, fun, and respect for my opponents
How can you say "respect for your opponents" right after you say "loving kicking the __ out of scrubs"? You contradict yourself this time...right after how I pointed out that your game history contradicts your initial statement!

I also like winning, I also like winning big, I also like to hit 20+ HRs in every game...
...all of those I do pretty much every game...
...offline vs CPU of course.
You came in here sounding like you destroy your opponents like I destroy the CPU on Rookie!
There are a lot of people who come in here to brag about how great they are and embellish a lot of their accomplishments or how bad of an upset caused by some coding in the game (and not because of their mistakes in pitching, hitting, fielding, or game management). This happens quite frequently. Frequently enough where some on here will look at their game history and find that they are greatly exaggerating and some just flat out lie.
I want you to enjoy the game, because we are playing a video game which is supposed to be enjoyed. Play the game the way that makes it most fun for you.

It’s just a video game so who cares what you or anyone else likes to do.
All the top 10 players mostly play Rookie / Rookie.
I used to be Veteran / Veteran and played in some leagues that were Legend / HOF and I held my own but it felt more lucky to win than skilled.
I’m now ranked inside the top 40 after switching to Rookie/Rookie to compete with the top guys.
I play for the leaderboard more so than for my opponent.
My real hope is that one day they upgrade Online Rated and make it fair across the board by only allowing one level of play OR have multiple leaderboards per rank style.
The mismatching level stuff just gives people more options to feel comfortable playing but end up getting abused by cheesers so the only way to catch them is to play the lower levels yourself.
It’s a video game, it is what it is.

️There are players that will purposefully tank their rating by quitting a bunch of games just so that they can go up against lesser opponents.

if you are looking for balance ,it looks like you found it at the All Star level if those games were on all star. Nothing about wanting to beat the tar out of your opponent every game screams balance and competition

Every gamer is like this now tbh. The fact that “skill based match making is killing videogames” sometimes starts trending is evidence enough.
There is a small select few who do choose to compete against the best and enjoy it, they just normally don’t pick a game with as much RNG and much higher prize pools. The amount of CPU missions this year totally turned me away from the game. I can crack the code against the CPU in any game relatively quickly. Playing against someone of my skill is what I find fun. That said in this game id also need to spend as much as said person with the same skill level so this truly isn’t the game for competition. Just hit some dingers and don’t take it to seriously. You’d have to change your name to the canuckler or some other cringy [censored] [censored]

This is where you're wrong again DD newb sauce, having to play at default pitch speeds would be super hard and it will take like 200 at bats to adjust at that snales pace. Like when an actual major leaguer who's been in mid season form to hit 95-100 mph fast balls then all of a sudden he has to face a Kunkleballer that day.....its not gonna be a good time. I see you're Canadian, come to my house and we'll play....Legend with maxed pitch speeds and realistic simulated Sliders, you'll see how different it is from DD acrady gameplay. I'll prepare hot pockets and chill some red bulls for you, I myself will be having fancy cheeses and a latte from Tim Hortons.

This is basically normal attitude for online play, but why get swelled up over it or downtrodden either ? Too many factors besides a players skillcome into play. One player has a monitor using pin point pitching vrs a guy without a monitor has noted advantage Controller accessories come involved. Lag , crossplay not to mention other [censored] guys are using and using they are. Settings are too diverse .And matchmaking tricks also. Multiple accounts Freeze glitching .The list goes on .How can you seriously put anystock in the stats online play produces? You cant is a farce usually enjoy by the gifted control jockeys or the ones with technical advantages Gentleman not all of us can be YouTube heroes.

And one more note regarding online play ,about the only time I get a 9 inning game in is if Im behind in the score, get 2 runs up the gone. Ridiculous. Not played it much tthis year but it hasnt changed
