I thought about doing a Cubs theme team, but i cant afford the 99 Sosa collection, and just the up keep and loosing of set 1 players etc kinda turned me off from it all.

Twins with the Buxton boost and the Blylen boost. And Giants with the Crawford boost and Webb boost are my go to squads

I have played mostly with a Cardinals Theme team.
I am anxious about Season 3 as Set 2 Cardinal cards can't hold a candle to Set 1's cards, with the exception of Stan Musial. I am losing access to multiple 99 overall cards with no idea when or how they will be replaced.
Nobody, wants to see their theme team take a big step backwards

Angels theme team. Mostly live series. Excited about the addition of Iglesias and Percy. Need more pitching tho . 40 -25 mostly using this team. I occasionally go with best squad.

I don't do them persay (I haven't played head to head with one) but when I'm choose to full out grind Team Affinity with one specific team I've had the most fun (bias aside) with the Mets... unfortunately I still haven't aggressively went after Future Stars Francisco Alvarez, (as well as Topps Now Brandon Nimmo and Topps Now Mark Veintos, and WBC Pete Alonso) but I did have the opportunity to use him supercharged and had a pretty nice team:
C Live Series Francisco Alvarez (Supercharged)
1B Team Captain Pete Alonso
2B Future Stars Ronny Mauricio
3B Cover Athlete Captain David Wright
SS WBC Francisco Lindor
LF Future Stars Brett Baty
CF Live Series Brandon Nimmo
RF Charisma Jeff McNeiland I believe the DH was Marte or Vogelbach (not Charisma one though as I'm slacking on unlocking him).
I don't recall the full rotation but I did have All-Star Al Leiter (Henchman from TA1), Topps Now Flashback Noah Syndergaard, and Topps Now Senga all in the rotation.
I can't wait to see how the team looks now if/when I unlock/purchase/pull the likes of the cards that I don't have that I already mentioned, in addition to Team Captain Al Leiter (in place of All-Star Leiter - even though he's the first and only card I've ever P5'd), Incognito deGrominator (deGrom), Incognito Wolf (Loup), Incognito Tom Terrific (Seaver), Kaiju Keith Hernandez, Kaiju Brooks Raley as well as WBC Edwin Diaz... that team is kind of insane!
and how could I forget Kaiju David Wright to replace Cover Captain Wright!!!!!

The fact that some Captains kinda suck with the boosts they give is one issue with theme teams.
And NO Captain boost at ANY tier should give you a NEGATIVE to an attribute.

I used to keep a Mets team as 1 of 4 squads every year, but this year, it's not that great. The bullpen is weak outside of Incog Loup & Kaiju Franco.
I never even use the Charisma Vogey. Maybe because he's awful this year?

I play my Mariners theme team whenever I get frustrated in Ranked Season. Surprisingly do better with them than I do with my main squad.

Yes I use this team as well. I blew it up because they wont be able to be used in season 3. Fun while it lasted. Outlaw plays well above his stats.
