I agree with all this except for #6. The pitching formula vs. the CPU has always been fastball up and in, followed by a fastball up and in, followed by a slider or cutter waaay out of the zone. The CPU can’t lay off a slider that’s 3 feet off the plate.

I agree that works and use it all the time but if you hang it you lose the moment. Instead of risking the slider, drop the off speed down and in (pref just low of zone or right on line)after fastballs. Sometimes even waste a fb high out of zone just to add emphasis to the low off speed.

Another one I meant to put on the list is that if you have a particular moment that is wearing you out, skip it and come back….like a test question. I take it a step further and exit all the way out of DD and then come back to it. It may just be mental but 7/10 times you’ll nail the moment first try like Batman in the Lego movie

You can throw Sliders to the CPU. You just have to in moderation, because they do know if you throw them, for sure!

Again, I agree. I go front and back door with the slider with success all the time in game situations. I made this list specifically to help people who struggle with the moments. Maybe I should have made that more clear? I tried to but I’m guilty of using too many words as always and I think it keeps getting missed in the skimming? Just last game I setup down and away with a slider, let it fly and it goes right down the middle! He missed it, thank goodness, but that was just lucky. Think of all the people just today that mentioned how they work a pitching moment down to the last batter, last strike only to lose it.
Think about the difference in speed between fastball/slider in comparison to fastball/change. To give yourself the best chance in a situation where you stand to have to repeat the moment, why risk it? That’s my point. A slider doesn’t always go where you tell it to go…even if you nail the meter like I did a minute ago. This is all I’m saying here.
To the people who struggle with moments, who don’t want to repeat it or are have already repeated it, trust me, use the change up. Get the two strikes up high, maybe even a third high ball, then float the soap bubble in there and watch em whiff!

Hahaha, realistically I definitely think there are useful tips in here and it’s nice that you took the time to plot it out for people. I had such a hard time with moments my first year.

Great Tip! There’s a lot to be said about the “head game” aspect and really can cause you (me anyways) to lose precious focus on the ball. I believe the great Admiral Ackbar summed it up when he quipped, “It’s a trap”
