What’s the origin of Kaiju?
-
What the heck does Kaiju mean and where did it come from? How did lizard-type animals get integrated into this game?
-
Kaiju are monsters. Godzilla, King Kong...all the old Japanese monster movies...Kaiju. H.P. Lovecraft...Kaiju.

Didn't think of that one! I had Pacific Rim in mind, but didn't want to get to nerdy. LOL

It came from Japan. Hence the backgrounds of the Kaiju cards.

I'm pretty sure it's an old wooden ship.

I understand what Kaiju is, but how did this get connected to baseball? Was there some connection in the past to Nippon League baseball and Kaiju?

Maybe an homage to Ohtani and other great Japanese ball players

Hey, wasn’t there a terrible movie a few years back where the main character would walk into a certain area of her local park (ballpark?) and inadvertently be able to control a giant kaiju that was outside of a big city? It was the actress that played cat woman in the Batman that had Bain in it…
That or it might’ve all been another acid flashback…or both!

Whatever this movie is you speak of, I must see it now.
Question- is she wearing the cat woman suit?

No Cloverfield?
Cloverfield is included as is Mothra, The Host (2006, great movie) and even Attack On Titan. I'm a huge horror/sci fi fan who collects blu rays.
