Stuck in a moment… and you can’t get out of it?

I used to think Keith Hernandez was a pretty good hitter. But then I tried his moment 200 times and... bleh.
-
Wow! Just tried the TA I East Showdown. Wow!!
Made it to Gray. Had a runner on third with multiple outs remaining. The game had me pop out in the infield about three times in a row with 100 clutch and 100 power 97 Charisma hitters.
Wow!!! Unbelievable.

Yastrzemski in the showdows with Kaiju against Gossage. I will be here a while/

wasn't much of a power hitter (by my recollection) with the Mets... his MVP card or whatever card they release of him with the Cardinals will have more power on it.

I will never buy the Jason Giambi card in my life
I think it’s been about an hour or so

I thought it was just me. I can’t believe how much I’m struggling with a guy with 125 power. Something is up with this moment

Wilson Contreras. It’s taking me almost as long to get two measly hits with you as it did to do the first 7 moments in this program.
Update- this concept is magic. 1st two ABs after posting, done.

Hit a Home run with Dominic Fletcher into the pool and then got a single and thought, this is gonna be easy. 20 mins later I’m still trying to get 6 bases.

I hate moments and showdowns but must be getting very lucky this year. Only a few moments gave me fits. Surprisingly the Kaijou moments went easy and just skipped Hernandez and opted to do the repeatable points with the players. Rolled through most Showdowns in 1 or 2 tries except TA West took like 6, I hate the hitters they offer. Again has to be luck because I'm usually ready to smash my controller during both modes and believe moments is the worst idea in video game history.

This isn't a moment, but a showdown. 2020 showdown. First inning showdown. I swear these things are intentionally rigged against the player. My job is to get one run and 2 hits without making three outs. OK, This should be easy, even for me. First batter, solid single to right. Second batter, perfect perfect single to center. Third batter perfect perfect single to center to score the winning run. NOPE. Super dive activated, center fielder dives forward 10 feet catches the ball .01 inches off the ground for a triple play to rip me off.
If this is the "easy" challenge what is the 9th inning challenge? You have to hit a grand slam on the first pitch of the game and the bases are empty? One of the rare times I actually was hitting right out of the gate and I get completely ripped off.

They should change the name from "Moments" to "Hours" I'm terrible at the game but I do enjoy collecting cards. I carve out a solid 6 hours to complete moments. Extremely frustrating and curse words. This is totally stupid but if I struggle with one moment for too long it turns into genuine HATE for that player. Not only only in the game but in life. I know it's stupid but I can't help it... I'll seek counseling so don't cry for me
-
I told myself that I wasn't going to do it but after trying again this morning for too long to finish the Hernandez moment with zone hitting I finally switched to directional and cranked it out within 4 or 5 plate appearances.

SDS, here is why folks abhor Moments
My 5th time trying the mark McGuire weekly moment. (Even that is a joke). But in the 5th attempt, McGuire hits a perfect/perfect blast to CF. With his 120 power rating, the ball is caught at the track
C’mon dudes. Be better. Seriously.

That moment was awful. Moments in general are awful but season 2 captain cards are the worst. Just trying to complete their missions is chore let alone complete a moment. Every one of them do nothing but hit singles and when you do get into a ball it's caught on the warning track. McGuire, Guerreo Jr., and Vaughn are the worst of a sorry lot.

Found an image of the bat Big Fundy is using in the Incognito Program Moment...

Mark Vientos will never hit a homerun. This moment is awful. Everything is hit to the warning track. So annoying

I got all the new moments done but that one was the one that probably took me the most tries.

10 tries on power swing, nothing. 1st try on regular swing I got it. Try that, I’m having much better luck with it than power

In the 2020 version of the game you have to hit a home run with Jackie Robinson in Forbes Field on a card with power rating in the 60's if I remember. Even though I have actually completed the program I keep trying this challenge. One time I actually hit a line drive that rolled to wall in right center field.
The throw from the relay guy to the catcher was way off the line, the catcher, who has a bad speed rating somehow raced 5 feet to home plate to beat Robinson, who I think is in the 80's for speed to tag me out despite me being closer to home.
Moments are a massive time sink and it feels like one of those match 3 games my friend's sister plays. You just have to keep playing until you get the "lucky board" to win
