I'm almost at 4M stubs, have LS, Set #1, and most of Core #1. 98% done through flipping about an hour max spread throughout the day and about 2 hours for the first 9 days until I got LS done.
I only flip diamond cards now. I exhaust about 50% of stubs on buy orders over night on diamond cards to hold and flip during the day when prices start to rise. I don't get completed buy orders on all of them but probably see anywhere from 20-30 completed sales come morning with an average flip around 1500-2000 profit (some more). Then I continue to buy and flip cards throughout the day when I have time to get on the app. Very little total time in the market for around 90K-150K profit per day.
Do I take losses on some cards? Sure but my wins more than make up for it.
Investments net me another 200K-500K every update period.

First, you need a decent starting point with stubs. I always keep at least 100k available for flipping, but you can start small and work your way up.
It's dead now, but when the new ranked season started the cards from the first reward pack (Brooks Raley) could be purchased close to quicksell value, and they had a really good profit margin. There were also a lot of transactions per minute. Margins are great, but they don't mean much if the card doesn't turn over.
I made a ton of stubs flipping that card for about a day, purchasing 5-10 at a time. I stopped for a while when there were some clear stub transfers going on (selling for over 200k) since I didn't want to get caught up in that nonsense, and then I rode it out until the margin dipped under 1k.
Since that flip got killed, I've gotten lucky with some early morning bubbles in some other player cards. I look for cards with a big gap at some point in the sell prices that isn't too far down, so it might actually sell. Example: 42.5 k, 42.4 k, 42k, 33k. These are more likely to go through over night when people have less patience. I wait for the price to recover in the later morning and then sell. It's a bigger profit, but more time committed to the one card. It's a decent method if you want to set and forget while busy with work.

Yeah I also invested in core cards a few days before Seager release, it's how I got Mantle

I’ve started trying to flip myself this past week. I’m a very conservative flipper, meaning I don’t spend much on what I buy and am willing to take smaller margins on the flip.
What kind of margins do you accept on a card, i.e, what makes a card flippable for you? Do t have to name the card, just the margin.

It seems to get a little tougher every year. It's not viable for everybody... but the margins are a lot bigger in the early morning. I've had some good mornings this year when I have had the time to pull out my phone at work.

Flipping on margins is a thing of the past now. Margins are too small and it’s extremely time consuming.
You’re better off looking at market tendencies and invest that way. Or roster updates

Margins arent small if you buy at the right time. You have to buy whatever your flipping when the market falls and wait sometimes. I made a fortune on the flashback and legends when the market dropped this past weekend and when the Tatis Flashback crashed the market. You flip with patience and you will always be rewarded. I dont mess much with Live Series unless there is a spread worth my while.

I haven't invested or attempted to play the market in MLB in some years... I find that with how the market works most players are trying to offload their cards fast to get a quick stub return... I feel like you have to be a patient person to play the market/flip cards... me personally whenever I put a card on the market I match the lowest listing unless the payout minus 10% is less than QS, at which point I just QS the card.
If I was more patient I would price my cards "middle of the road" and wait it out especially if there is a run on that particular card you can make a decent amount of stubs by sitting your card in the middle instead of at the lowest price point but I haven't been that invested in that side of the game.
I think the only savvy move I made this year was pulling Willie McCovey in a Diamond Duo, and then getting the McCovey/Sutton round from the choice pack and picking McCovey since he was worth more. Posted and sold the dupe McCovey and just purchased Sutton off the market, although I probably should've just put those stubs towards finally getting Future Stars Alvarez but I figured why not just get Sutton since he was right there.

In the choice packs theres 3 options for uniforms, 2 of them will give you a gold player the 3rd will give you the headliner and a 3rd diamond option. However it is completely random so landing the diamond headliner still feels great.

Oh wow, I had no idea of that. I was hoping there would be a "right" choice to guarantee the diamond, ha ha!
I did get 99 Bryce Harper in a Diamond Duos pack on the weekend (kept him instead of selling for 100K).
And in another I got a silver uniform and 3 live diamond cards, all in the 85 - 87 range. It was stunning to see 3 blue cards in a row. Glad I was sitting down at the time.

I don’t even understand the market anymore. I still sometimes think a diamond is worth a quick sell 5k, which I know is not true. I don’t understand what determines value.

The quicksell value is based on the overall rating on the card. Here is a chart from last year:
