Who’s idea was all the Kaiju BS?
-
Baseball is a world game boys, plenty of artistic influence across the globe. Also helps that the best player on the planet is Japanese.

Lol this is great, we want more content SDS, fresh and new. Ok here you go….same people this isn’t what we wanted so complain complain complain
It’s a community forum. The whole purpose is for people to have input on the game. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s complaining.

Definitely can understand how some players will have this take
But I’m fine with it. It’s something new and different from the same repetitive card series we’ve had for the past couple years
You gotta admit, some of the new card art looks incredible
TBH cards have continued to go uphill visually for a while no question.
But I loved the fact this game specifically, had meaning to the cards in it, and they were based off actual stats. Allstars, Postseason, they had an awesome system. Then when SDS went further for juicier cards they still did amazing with those a as well. Signatures, Milestones, Awards, and Finest were honestly pretty genius. We should have given them more credit because “incognito” and “charisma” just look like they came straight from 2k and have no meaning at all.
You are right with the same cards year after year, fake cards just aren’t appealing to me and it kind of ruins some of the greats as well. Tony Gwynn should be the best contact hitter in the game right now, not one of a dozen even if contact isn’t the meta.

I love the monsters & the playfulness I think it's cool.

SDS has been great at content in general, but this one is a little too out there for me, personally. I think it’s a little childish and silly, but also completely irrelevant. It’s a baseball game, let’s stick with that guys.
I always find that when someone uses the “iTs a BasEBaLL gAMe!” platitude, they’re really trying to say something else. Such as, “I like this game better when it’s whitewashed.” I can’t think of any other reason why someone playing SIMULATED BASEBALL on a video game console would use such a lame line of reasoning.
Of course it’s a baseball game. If you want 1:1 reality, shut your console off, and go join a beer league. You would probably go into convulsions if you ever played the Slugfest series.
-
I’d like to know the Japanese sales numbers and if they’re what’s driving Kaiju, Takashi, etc.
-
Takashi-Awesome
Stanford Greene-AwesomeKaiju with monsters all over the stadium, creating shadows to make a simple moment harder than it should be? No part of it is fun or interesting and that absolutely goes for the cards as well. People on here don’t like to hear anything negative about the game, but SDS needs to hear them. There are many things with this game that are driving players away.
As has been mentioned, they have always done a great job with cards and everything connecting and making sense. There are many new ways they could have done that to keep things fresh, but this is what they did instead.

I’m not interested and I’m just moving on. Guess what. You can also do the same. Some people will be interested. I bet lots of people thought it was bs to have 99 rated cards of players who just got drafted. They milked that for 6 months.
-
The people who want you to have ten free cards towards set two collection on day one. That’s whose idea it was.

You don't know how much I loved Slugfest. Super fun game and a truly fun HR Derby mode. I like that this game is a mix of simulation and arcade. The arcade stuff is in the background and the play style is still sim. There are flaws but doesn't real baseball have flaws? It's not perfect but neither is life, so they can get over it.

Along with the WBC influx

Whose idea was it?…I believe it was Bob Smith from Madison, Wisconsin.
-
I love it!
Every year we whine about the game being stale.
This is something new and, yes, a bit silly.
It's a video game, fellas.
If reality is a major selling point, go play catch in the backyard. -

Never struggled as much as I did with a few easy moments as I did with these

In general, more content is always a good thing! However Kaiju, Incognito, Charisma…….it’s all very silly to me. I don’t like it, so I simply don’t use them. The captain cards I do think are very cool. So I’ve been using those almost all year. Just use what you like.

Agreed. Stupid stadiums.

I totally get what your talking about and where you are coming from. All i want is a [censored] baseball game as close to simulation and real life as you can get..PERIOD.(with the exception of some aspects such as playing with legends who are not alive today etc)...i dont care about monsters, and the card "art" does virtually nothing for me.

These forums have become so toxic over the past few years. I used to enjoy coming here to talk about baseball and this game and now I spend my time scrolling through one silly complaint after another. And some of these people go off the deep end with the complaining. I never have understood why someone would continue to torture themselves by playing a game that they seemingly don’t like. Instead they spend their free time complaining about it rather than finding something else enjoyable to do. And I want to point out that the complaints are usually based around the skill features of the game like directional hitting verses zone and the different pitching modes. It’s always the person who wants to compete at a high level using a less skillful approach rather than putting the effort to perfect the skilled approach. I guess it’s just another commentary on the society that we live in where people just want to be given something without having to do anything. When I was growing up those people were called lazy.

I heard it was Kaiser Soze, who told them:
'Use the KAI from Kaiser, but put JU at the end so I can remain Incognito....'
Wait.... -
I’m always open to new ideas but this shiiiiiit is dumb!!!
