You get 2 crappy cards every time you log in. That’s definitely worth your extra money. All jokes aside. I always buy the digital deluxe. I need the game early and I used my captain plenty. Plus, it’s just 30 bucks and it’s a game I use 365 days.

Well, since I'm a "tin foil hat" guy I really feel the need to explain to the extent it's pretty hard to deny. Not saying I succeed but it's fun trying.
Also, I'm not sure, but I bet there is a way you can just turn off all my dialogue if it disturbs you. Or, if you see one of my big 'ol testaments and want a Reader's Digest Abridged form..I'll do that for you. Just message me.

The stubs ain't bad. The 3 day early access ain't bad. It's just the fact this year they've taken most of the value out of the freebie packs. And, since I'm on a "hate the avalanche of Diamonds" crusade I though I would just mention it FTHOI.
Yeah, I'm not trying to tell anyone how to spend their money, but if you don't like all the diamonds so early (and I'm not alone) you might suggest it could play a part in deciding whether you drop $100 next year or $69. I don't think complaining works as well as absence of revenues.

I always buy the deluxe, mainly just the FOMO. I never really worried about the extra money or which cards I get, seems like we will end where we end anyways.

Yeah…don’t you know that most of the dudes who play this game read at a 2nd grade level?
That’s why they think it’s actually fun and interesting to play with teams stacked with nothing but 99s…and better.
How do you get better than a 99, you ask? Just look at how ridiculously juiced some of these top tier 99s are compared to others…and add in the parallels and occasional boosts…oh screw it…nevermind…I almost forgot who I’m talking to…most of you mouth breathers can’t add or subtract.

Early access was juiced for packs! Pulled 99 Ohtani over that ea weekend and used him until this week when I sold him to finish the LS collection.
My luck aside-it was just fun

This is the only option for sports games for me. I’d rather fire up my Sega Genesis and play Tecmo Bowl than any Madden game the last several years and basketball sucks. Don’t get me wrong, I play other games, but this isn’t a forum for other games.

This guy feels it. Madden has got to be the worst experience that makes millions (billions) in the entire world of sports games. FIFA (or whatever it's gonna be called) isn't far behind but Madden is less fun than playing Tecmo Bowl. I wish I still had a version to fire up. Great analogy.
I'm also with you about the fact MLB the Show is likely the best (most fun anyway) sports game. I've never played NBA or NHL.
I don't believe SDS is even close to as obsessed as EA is with microtrans. I mean, I haven't purchased a pack this year and still have about 40 sitting in my queue and no real inclination to start popping them open. Sincere kudos to 'da Show there.And, tbh, these guys have created a forum that truly allows folks to gripe and complain on occasion. EA has pretty much put a moratorium on anything even slightly critical of their games. Even suggest there is something "odd" going on in the code and they will shut you down in a heartbeat. Censorship is for fascists and those that have sucky products.
So, I'm probably going to keep purchasing this game and enjoying it more than not. It's the intangibles that matter.
