My hat is off to you guys! I’ll never know how you guys can recognize pitches as soon as the pitcher releases the ball. Prior to tonight, the most walks I had ever given up in a game is maybe 4 or 5. My last game…..my opponent walked 15 times. I’ve never seen anything like it. I was not walking him on purpose. All you guys that are that patient, hats off…..seriously! I don’t have that skill.

Yes, I agree. Having a good and quick batter's eye is what the top players have in common.

On rare occasions I can pick up pitches fairly quickly, and hit well. However, most of the time I feel blind and whiff at everything. Weird. Maybe it's latency?....opponent pitching ability?...or me not focusing well?.... I know that if I look for a pitch in a certain part of the zone, focus on the pitcher's hat/ball release, and stay disciplined, I seem to hit better. That is easier said, than done.

15 walks is obscene and seems like you almost never through strikes.

This tells me your pitching approach was not working. If you want good hitters to swing, you have to be close to the zone. The better players are waiting for their pitch and if you are consistently no where near the zone they will take walks all day.

For this particular game I agree with you. However 99% of games I play I use the same approach and rarely walk more that 2 or 3 at most.
