So look, I’m not saying he’s the best player of all time but Rickey Henderson was the most TALENTED and maybe the most complete 5 tool player we’ve ever seen. He could hit for contact, power, he could field, he had an arm, and he has some stealing records that might never be broken (unless of course the pitch clock). This might be my biggest hot take I’ve had as a baseball fanatic but watching Henderson play is something else. Lmk what u guys think. I could have more evidence and insane stats but too much to put on one of those forums.

There is no way to prove one player is the greatest. There are too many variables involved in baseball. Everything from who was allowed to play, what drugs were allowed, steroids, juiced or dead ball era, rule changes, nutrition and workout knowledge, and many other things make it an interesting topic with no way to come to a definitive answer. Rickey was one of my favorite players though and should get more recognition in my opinion. He had no problem telling us he was the greatest of all time too.

I do agree, part of what makes it such a fun topic with so many different opinions. I’ve seen things about how terrible babe Ruth would do in this era. Not saying I agree but there are a ton of factors that play in
