Will you please give us a ‘97 or ‘98 Ray Lankford from the Cardinals!?!? Why we haven’t seen this yet I have no idea! You will make a stupid Jordan Walker card, who has been relevant for like 30 seconds, but we have never ever seen a Ray Lankford, Terry Pendleton, David Freese, Fernando Tatis (Sr), David Eckstein, Lance Berkman, Carlos Beltran, Andy Benes, Daryl Kyle, or Jason Isringhausen?…? Can you help out the Cardinal fans a little please? Every one of these guys were critical to World Championships for STL and for whatever reasons, never given their due 🤷‍♂️

SDS doesn't have those players rights and would have to buy them, I'm sure they have a set budget every year on what they can go get, I'm sure Jeter cost a lot. I'm a Cardinals fan to and would love to see them, but they can't just put anyone they please into the game.

Keep in mind though. For every player they obtain the rights for they generally lose the rights for one. Basically they swap out players. Adding one of those Cardinals would cost you a current Cardinals legend. They tend to add and remove a player from the same team. I’ve been playing this game since it’s inception.

Just was saying, there were much higher quality throwback players than what we are seeing in some areas, Cardinals being one.. I love that we finally see Big Mac and Sosa. SDS did well there.. Also, with bringing Griffey, Ripken, and Sheffield back each year.. But like a throwback Carlos Beltran would be a complete animal, same with Berkman.. They’re some of the better Cardinal throwbacks.. I think folks will take the loss of a throwback Michael Wacha and 3 versions of a Lars Nootbar, to have a Redbirds Rockstar.. Just sayin..

Except Michael Wacha and Lars Nootbaar are active players, SDS doesn't have to "pay" for any active player because all those players are under the players union, which SDS pays a lump sum for the rights of anyone still playing. The retired players hold their own rights and have to be paid individually for

They are never going to please everyone.

As an older Cardinals fan I would love to see Ted Simmons since, with Yadi gone, we could use a legend catcher. I'd also like a Willie McGee.

Outside of some obvious like Scott Rolen and such , I'd want Edgar Renteria, Matt Morris, woody Williams, even a Allen Craig would be cool

The bigger the player they add the bigger the player they remove. Adding someone like Scott Rolen will likely remove someone like Ozzie Smith. Just giving the heads up.

When the Giants added Brian Wilson they removed Will Clark.
