It’s kind of a shame, the key exclusives that came with the $100 edition are all 92’s, and aside from their Captain perks, they are not special in the slightest. Since day one provided us with plenty of 97-99s, they never really had a chance to stick in our lineups, rotations, or bullpens. It would be great if these cards become a part of a level up path like we’ve seen in past years, thus allowing these cards to become 99’s in the future. Personally, I can’t even justify throwing one of them in for the captain boosts on the team because I would be sacrificing better cards for worse cards with a boost, which doesn’t end up balancing out in the end.

I agree. I’ll run David Wright out there with a mostly Mets lineup, but Pete Alonso’s the captain and I have 3 other Mets above 97 so he doesn’t have to be the star.

I agree with you sir. Lost a game last night 3-2. I had a lineup of captains. Opponent had all 97 charisma cards. Only reason he won was he had Dustin May pitching. In my opinion he’s fairly filthy. I had Captain Smoltz goin and did well.

My question is since they are set 1 when are they going to drop the pack again as a reward.

Sure, but are you really going to run 92 Jeter over 99 Trea Turner? Or any of the other 99’s that could be in the captain boosted spots?
As for the bullpen, I like to run four righties and four lefties. I hid Hoffman as the final righty for a while, but I just can’t anymore. I’d rather have four top notch righties as opposed to three.

I mostly agree, but these specific cards boost up rather easily. Hoffman and Jeter can make your whole team 99. Use their captain boosts, boom they can compete.

I guess we all prefer different cards, Ohtani is the least reliable of those four for me, and Smith is my stopper. Easily my most trusted card in the pen

I love Hoffman. Bring him and his booster self in after throwing outlier fastballs to mess with people’s timing.
Even as a Rockies fan he was my favorite pitcher to watch irl. The man was an artist.
