Maybe they get a Storyline in the future but the Storylines for Negro Leagues will focus on Negro League players... I don't recall Mays, Banks or Aaron being in the Negro Leagues.

I mean, Mays played a year and 1/2 or so for the Negro leagues -had to be in High School or something because he was signed by the Giants when he graduated. Minimal impact on the Negro Leagues. Aaron played like 25 games or so on the Negro Leagues before the Braves signed him. Again, minimal impact. Banks played a very small amount of games in the Negro Leagues as well. he went almost directly from the Military to MLB. Great Major Leaguers, among the best of all time but all 3 had very little impact on the Negro Leagues

Josh Gibson needs to be in The Show 24... here's hoping.

I think they purposely held him back to still have name recognition for the next one. Him and Cool Papa Bell will probably be in it.
I also think they wanted to stick with majority one team... looks like this year we got Kansas City Monarchs mostly with a couple of Chicago Americans from what I could tell... my Little League had our teams named after Negro League teams and my team was the Grays/Greys so I'm definitely in favor of Josh Gibson being in next years game.

There's that and there's also that Josh Gibson had legendary power. When people think of the Negro Leagues, Josh Gibson kinda has to be in the conversation. 2nd player from the Negro Leagues to be inducted into the National Hall of Fame behind only Satchel. Maybe one of the best things I have read about Gibson was spoken by Satchel..."You look for his weakness and while your lookin’ for it, he’s liable to hit 45 home runs"
After what he dealt with in his life personally and with his talent, major leaguers who knew him said he was better than any MLB player including Ruth (I don't know that I believe that but even if he was in the same conversation he had to be incredibly great)
No Negro Leagues program should be without him IMO unless Sony could not get his rights
