Switch version

I really liked the ability to grab the Switch and play my DD when I wasn’t near my PS5 last year, so ive been considering it again this year. Has anyone, who uses the Switch as a secondary source of the show, had any issues or complaints this year? Since I synced it last year, would i have to do the same this year or would it just recognize my console? Any other info for or against it is also appreciated. Thank you!

I haven't played 23 on Switch, but I did have it for 22 and I have a follow up question which could potentially save you some aggrevation.
Which console platform was your primary account last year? If you care about being able to play with your team in 22 again at some point, you should try to stick with the same primary platform year to year. As far as I know, SDS still hasn't provided a way to choose a primary platform on yearly basis. Ex. If it was Switch last year, but PS5 this year: Making PS5 your primary platform would allow 23 progress to show on both consoles, but the progress in 22 would be wiped from both consoles unless you unlink.
If you don't care about going back to 22, then this is all a Moo point. Like a cows opinion.

I use 23 and no, you don’t have to relink your accounts. I think 23 is better than 22.

I sold my PS5, so I bought for Switch this year since my son still plays that and 23 feels much smoother than 22.

Thanx for all the info. So just to be clear, PS5 was primary last year and will be every year. After purchasing the game on Switch, I don’t need to do anything more than simply opening it up and it will be all good?

I think you should be all good and won't need to link again since you are going in the same order. I can't confirm though since I did things differently this year. I had to unlink my Switch to make the PS5 primary to share progress with Xbox. Worst case scenario, you would just unlink and relink in the same order if it doesn't work when you first boot up on Switch.

You are correct. I have mine the same as you. My PS is my primary and my Switch (and Xbox) are sub. You will have to go through the beginning stuff and put in your desired settings, but as far as progression goes, it works just fine.
I may have had to restart the game after getting my settings down, but I don't remember exactly. I was on the road when I downloaded the game and was able to play just fine while away from my PS5.
